People don't like playing against him that is fine. You can't balance a game around how people feel it needs to also be warranted.

perhaps a large portion of the community finds playing against him is toxic, and that could be looked into to remove the toxic parts without hurting the champion too much, but however with current riot they'll probably remove the salvageable parts and make it solely toxic kit with every ability having 14 parts and 8 game breaking features

People banned Kassidin for years not because he was OP but because he had been banned in pro play. Even after his changes he still had a few weeks where he ate a ban or two out of habit. Ban rates, in most elos, don't always reflect champion balance but player preference. Yasuo just happens to be a prime target, lots of people hate him because players teammates pick him and feed or enemies pick him and go Raid boss. It's statistically improbable but that's what players assume will happen so they ban, even without all the statistical knowledge.

Kass received a lot of work downwards, today he has a ban rate of 2.5%, indicating that he is in a much more appropriate and healthy place. He's one of, if not the worst early champ in the game, which isn't great in this cafe meta. When you look at threads discussing Yas, they talk about having too much safety, too much mobility, and no resources to manage, among other unneeded/undeserved welfare like recent turret interactions. -

Someone crashes or only disconnects for a moment. Someone else uses that opportunity to leave because the match is going badly for them. Even though they know the person is coming back, they leave because they won't get punished for it.

Except Kassadin's R can go up to 1600 mana per cast..

1550 if you count all the mana (and gold) it took to get there., but its 800 per cast at max stack.

And threads on the boards are usually charged with hyperbolic statements and raised pitchforks. People complained for weeks about Akali pre rework release and now we get the one odd thread about her every few days. I'm not saying that Yasuo is balanced but that bans don't necessarily represent what's OP, just what players with their own biases do/don't want to play against. I ban Singed pretty often, not because he's OP but because I find him obnoxious to play against. Same with banning Renekton when I'm picking Riven.

I ban him because of two reasons My yasuos exclusively feed My enemies yasuo is always some challenger smurf. (Note I’m nit the one who lanes against him)

Yep. It's that kind of paradox. Luckily I know how to deal with him. Talon lvl2 all in Pantheon lvl 3 all in after he blows wind wall Just beat him early. This isn't Dota where he can ask farm and catch up to everyone for free. Should he start splitpushing,stop him. Also Jax . He can't as you when you have e up.just activate it then start smashine his face in. Also item 3143

I don’t have a problem with him. I shit all up and down him. Problem is my teammates constantly feed him.

Even though I'm low elo, I can deal with him. If everyone focuses him in teamfights, he will die unless he can 1v5. Instead of targeting the adc who isn't doing the damage, target yasuo. He will be in the front since he is a melee skirmisher. also if I'm playing and an assasin and he goes on assuming I'm popping off, I will oneshot him. I still ban him by default if I don't know who to ban since nobody likes playing against him. Also if your playing as a tank or bruiser item 3143 exists. If they also have a crit adc on their team, I will build this on Shyvana .
