The tutorial could use some work The levelling system was a good change 👏 Get strict on bots Limit the available champions they verse (25 champs until level 5, 5 each level after) Make full build a realistic goal Any other comments?

I feel like the tutorial should include live commentary from pro-players. If the new players feel like they get into the game with the help of an actual player it would make things easier.

If new players get an explanation on a few things (what possible roles are available and what do they do, what is Attack Damage and Ability Power, how can you maximize your tankiness/burst/DPS with items, what buffs can you use and how do you get them, how important is CS and thus gold generation?) they could have a much more relaxed start into the game.

It shouldn't be mandatory but rather an opt-in experience as it is now.

Alternatively Riot could give the community the power to use certain tools to create their own tutorials and make them accessible through the client. Think Mobafire or Probuilds, just with the functionality of an "interactive" tutorial like we have in the game already (including pop-up texts, custom quests, game-freeze to explain something like dodging skillshots or the right time to AA a minion etc.)

Yes it was a good change for new players, but the more champions you get the harder it will be to complete the pool.

Anyway, I agree on your points and hope they are gonna put ressources into it.

Spectating games should allow you to zoom out the camera to get a broader view. We should be able to send PM's while watching someone else's game :).

I think it should be a lot earlier. I don't think they should split resources between new player experience and whatever they're gonna do for preseason

definitely agreed. It's just too much for newbies to be expected to know kits of 130+ champions at lv5. Would also prefer to see champions such as Bard, Anivia, Tahm Kench removed from weekly free champion for players under lv30, as they require knowing other champs' kit to make their kit work. Even better, just make them available at the last after all other champions.

I think you forgot to put your thread in the Memes & Games section. [sg-lulu]

Fuck yea, you know what, lets do this. Lets seriously crack down on toxic smurfs, bots, and toxic peeps.

The tutorial also encourages new players to run it down mid as Nunu.

I'm not making this up. In the tutorial, it teaches players how dangerous towers are by having a Nunu running it down mid. Go into the tutorial check it out for yourself.

Limit the available champions they verse (25 champs until level 5, 5 each level after)

This is virtually impossible. Say a new player buys Zoe. Who is going to play against the new player? Who is the new player going to play WITH? The rule is already broken.

How about improve player experience before we worry about the ones that don't even play?

You know like how we have been damage creeped up the ass? How one CC on you means gray screen. How Vi can literally one shot squishys with a item 3147.

I'm all for new player experience but let's actually make the game fun again first?

New players, Allow them to rent champs

That'd be great, hopefully changes like these get implemented sometime this year, even before the preseason, like the tutorial... Ashe and thornmail...

Yes.

Toxic players are banned. They make new accounts. They might even have names referencing this.

Scripters are banned. They make new accounts. They might also be toxic. They usually are. Not sure which happens first.

What if half the players playing sub-30 are scripting? That's what it looks like to me.

What if 20% are? Is that ok then or still too much?

What if everyone thinks it's only 5%, but it's actually much closer to 50%?

The new player experience, if you have gone through it much, is absolutely plagued by players being toxic or blatantly scripting.

And the new players have no idea. Their friends might even be the ones scripting.

Actually, I only see like 5-10% of the people actively playing sub-30 being new.

People don't even talk about "smurphing" like they used to sub-30. They just play, usually with scripts, and often with toxicity.

The scripting part actually happens more than toxic dirtbags.

If you really know what scripts look like, you can see them in every game I am currently playing sub-30.

So those are my thoughts on the new player experience.
