Took me waaay too long to realize because of this, i was like " DAFQ is "the Iron aurelion ahri" supposed to mean?"

Nah, i do the same thing. Often, though, I think it first as his full name, and then it's all like "Aurelion Sol Ahri? Ah". I guess I didn't think this through too much though.

The Iron Solari are a group of Amazon-like warriors in League canon. I can't quite remember where they were based.

Solari = Sol Ahri

There's two in game references; An item (Locket of the Iron Solari item 3190 ), A skin for Leona (Iron Solari Leona Leona )

Having a seducing fox-girl atop of Mt. Targon might explain why ppl exiled there from Demacia never came back (Except Taric ofc, he was the one who seduced Ahri who followed him down xD).
