How to be the best Ascension player in the world.

Hi everyone! My name is RavensCapsOs and I am the number one ranked Ascension player with an .831 winning percentage, using mainly Illaoi. I am here to answer your questions and provide tips on how you can improve your game!

Question 1 I received in my inbox: > Why do you choose Illaoi?

First off, thank you for the question! I choose that champion because of the abundance of walls, allowing me to camp in a spot and grow tentacles. Her natural healing ability also keeps me alive for long periods of time, since we cannot recall. PLUS, landing a four or five man ultimate is just a truly spectacular spectacle!

Question 2 also in my inbox: > What is the number one strategy that sets you apart from other players and puts you on the higher level?

Thank you for the question! I would say what makes me better than everyone else on this particular map is my ability to know when to make plays or retreat. Generally if you dive head first into a fight, it is kill or be killed. There is little chance you can run away successfully. So picking your battles is incredibly important. I never go into a fight without at least 1 tentacle already spawned. And never fight multiple enemies without my ultimate up.

Great questions so far guys, keep them coming!

One other strategy I employ is I usually avoid initiating the fight to become ascended. Let the enemy team do all the work for you and exhaust their health and resources! Attack them from the fringe but try to stay out of range of Xerath so they take double damage. Then jump in at the last second to steal it. With Illaoi becoming ascended is easy due to your w. Just make sure you spawn a tentacle on the rock above Xerath!

I guess my question would be, what's your alternate? Cause I would imagine that Illaoi would have a decent ban rate in Ascension.

Personally, I have been favoring Battle mages in these kind of engages, particularly Karthus.

Nah just Singed the tight corridors make it hard to avoid you poison and if they have no vision of you, your poison becomes invisible so you can get a shit ton of free damage before they realize where you are.

It's just ascension, literally no one cares. And you're just making up the questions since no one is asking you them. Just cause you actually waste your time playing the game mode doesn't mean you are the best. I can guarantee there are better people on the gamemode then you. Lol
