It's either someone bans my champion or someone else's because they "don't like that champion". SERIOUSLY??? I just had a duo ban the hovered champion I had AND banned other champions I would play.
Chibi Bronzlife2 votesIf you are low in the pick order trying to play a highly contested champ that could be devastating in the enemy's hands then there is viable reason to ban it. League isn't just about what you want to do, it's about how the team wants to play. If they don't want to take the risk of a strong champion going to the enemy even though you have it hovered, then they should ban it.

Please read the post before you comment. A DUO can ban 2 champs.

If I don't want Master Yi jungle, I shouldn't have to sit there and watch you feed all day and lose LP. Its not worth the risk for me to have like a ryze adc on my team so I'm going to ban ryze if my AD hovers it.
Dark Nephthys1 votesIf this is in normals then sure that duo was an ass for banning your champion. However, when it comes to ranked, we need the option to ban any champion (even if it's hovered by an ally). The reasons being is what if a new champion or a new rework happened that same day or the day before? Are you going to let that person who has never played said champion to pick them in ranked knowing that they'll do poorly with it? Or what if there is some one who is insanely strong and must be banned but your team mate hovered it and he was last pick...will you risk the enemy team picking them up instead of just banning it?
