Banning someone's pick on your own team should be reportable.

Not much to say, it's fucking obnoxious. An easier way would be for riot to not allow banning champs that you highlighted in the pre pick round.

It's occasionally obnoxious, but being unable to do so opens up a far bigger can of worms. I'd rather have my pick occasionally banned than have it unbannable.

Someone bans someones pick.
Said person rages and troll picks, usually taking the others pick if they are ahead.
Sometimes someone dodges but usually it gets played out and you have two adcs bot or 2 supports or 2 junglers.

Ya really seems worth it to me.

Please give me one example where banning someones pick will lead to a better game? Show me a single example of someone getting their pick banned and not reacting to it negatively.

You saw the videos of Galio 100-0ing players with a single Q before the hotfix this patch? Tell me what happens when last pick on your team thinks that would be fun when the enemy had first pick. Tell me how much better your Champion Select experience is when someone queues up as Support for faster queue times, hovers Galio so you can't ban it, then holds the lobby hostage by telling you that you need to trade them roles otherwise they're going to let the other team pick the champion?

People who troll because their champion got banned would find another reason to troll, it's not worth making the overall system worse trying to appease those trolls.

It really sucks for people who want to play things outside the meta. I just want to point out, if you happen to main something unusual, then your teammates will ban your pick very frequently.

and they very well SHOULD ban "unusual" picks. The meta exists for a reason. Rito themselves openly support the meta. Even their report system is automated to watch out for "off-picks" and automatically punish players who are reported while doing so.

Ok you've officially gone off the deep end, Mr "factually". No one has been or ever will be banned for picking an off meta champ. If they play their role they can pick whoever the hell they want. You might want to get your meds checked though, you seem to be very close to the edge of a breakdown.

Ah nice moving of the goal posts there, I never once mentioned items. This was strictly about champion choice. And it has never been nor ever will be a reportable offense to choose an off meta champion.

Picking off meta champs will NOT get you banned. Not working as a team and doing your own thing can get you in trouble. There is a balance here, but if either side is an immovable object, they are the ones to be reported.

Please. I've never seen any AD mid laner succeed ever since i reached diamond. It's not that the players are bad - the playstyle just doesn't work in a group as 5 meta dominated by ranged assassins that build attack speed and crit yet are somehow mistaken for "backline damage dealers".

It's not that simple. When the opposing team is playing Shen top, Galio mid, Jarvan IV jungle, Kog'maw or Twitch ADC and Lulu/Janna/Taric support, having an assassin as your main source of damage is NOT going to work.

In the lower ranks it can work. I've seen it work - even pulled it off myself at times. But the closer you get to master, the more important team compositions become. At this point matches are 10% decided by the personal skill of the players, 30% decided by team composition and 60% decided by the skill of the adcs.

I'm sorry that you've bought into the sheeple misnomer that Sona is playable. Here's a few facts that even a sheeple cannot dispute:

At 40 base damage, Hymn of Valor is the WEAKEST damage spell of the ENTIRE support class
Sona is the ONLY dedicated support champ in the game without hard CC pre-level 6
Sona is the ONLY support in the game with spells that have less than 500 range; she has THREE spells with only 400 range apiece
All of Sona's harass tools have an effective 550 range; 2 are on-hits tied to her basic attack and Hymn ONLY prioritizes champions once again within 550 range

She has ZERO control over which ally is auto-fucking-targeted by her heal
Her "shield" at 1.5 seconds is less than half the duration of any other support shield in the game

Once again, you failed to check your facts and continue to assume misfacts. As a matter-of-fact, I am an ex-Sona main that had played more than a thousand games on Sona in season 3 alone. I was forced to abandon her, BECAUSE SHE IS FACTUALLY UNPLAYABLE.

In fact, the TOP FOUR Sona players IN THE WORLD have ALL publicly stated that she is in-fact UNPLAYABLE. I for one would rather listen to A Wild AP Sona, the #1 Sona in the world for multiple seasons in a row, over Random Player "RedPannda" with no notable credentials, links, facts or anything resembling an argument other than, "You're stupid, Sona is good."

100% of the time, if a team mate bans my champ without saying why and getting my buy in, I have no interest in trying that game. Sure, I won't int, but guess who won't be getting any of my help in their lane.

This is a team game, and as soon as one player takes upon themselves to dictate what someone else can or can't do, they are wrong. Do not ever ban someone's preferred champ with out first discussing it. Just like you shouldn't play some way off meta champ without letting the team know why. Communication is the key that keeps teams working together.
