Inactivity players. (This is for Diamond Players)

Its been a serious problem for a very long time.

The diamond 5 players that get to diamond 5 and don't continue after that.

Can you make the system prioritize putting these players together in a lobby.

If they haven't played a ranked game in 21 days+ please put them together.

These players are annoying to a bunch of other people as well.

1: The plat players that are trying to get to diamond.

2: The players that don't want to be stuck in diamond 5.

3: The players in higher elos that get these players on there teams because there aren't enough players.

I am okay with spending an extra five minutes to find a game if these players aren't in it. They should also get punished heavier than the normal player that continues to play ranked even after making diamond.

They are the reason why LP bottlenecking occurs in d5/d4/d3. Even if you have average MMR of your Elo. You will get 18 at best, in d5.

That bottlenecking occurs at every 5th division. Its really stupid to give people a safety net just because they're sitting at a specific rank and no longer need to try to not demote.

He isn't saying to decrease the time between each ranked game played.

He is saying that if they don't play ranked on X account for X days. They receive higher penalties for being a detriment to the system.

And if you say that they aren't a detriment to the system, then i don't know what to tell you.

They should be demoted if they are that bad. It inflates the 5 tiers by not demoting people. If MMR drops to two tiers below you then you should demote automatically. No more worries.

This really needs more attention, its a huge issue. People will say "all 5th divisions blah blah" NO this issue is specifically severe for Diamond 5. The amount of duo q boosted players in diamond 5 is reaching critical mass. Once they hit d5 they stop playing completely (obviously cause they cant que on their own) and they will just play normals/ARAMs for the next 1 month and then they will que up 1 ranked game to prevent decay. It is absolutely devastating for the 4 poor souls who have to get this player on their team when that time arrives every month ESPECIALLY if they are auto filled. To top it off, these players are usually extremely toxic as well (a defense mechanism to scapegoat someone else).

I had a friend lose 12 games in a row at 0 lp.

Was still in diamond 5. :)

I don't even think its possible to be demoted from silv 5 to bronze though, its the same thinking, but at plat+ u can actually demote, just takes awhile.

I mean, it takes LITERALLY more time than they year gives if you only play 1 game a month. So its actually impossible to drop out of diamond unless you are trying to climb. Funny right? You only get punished for attempting to climb further.

Don't post here if you're only looking for Diamond players. These forums are 99% silver and bronze.
