Riot: "Hmm looks like Nautilus is weak"

The same people who have been slowly nerfing him over the past 6 years.

Hate to be a dick about it but... no shit, Shirlock.

Seriously go look at his patch history on the wiki. It's not reasonable. It begs the question, if you buff him and he starts seeing pro play again aren't you just going to kick him down again? What's the point if you hate him so much?

I don't even mind playing against Naut. I wish they would rework his ult though and turn it into a skillshot of some sort. It feels real bad when he casts it on you as a squishy and there's nothing you can do to avoid the knock-up.

The active does not cancel or remove Airborne directly, but allows wielders to use mobility spells and Flash to overrule the effect.

then flash away?

You have plenty of time to move to a spot where enemies can't follow up unless you were already overextended. It's a much more fair ult than stuff like Vi's or J4's ults that basically let them lock you down immediately for their team to follow up. Oh let's not forget Camille's ult + her hookshot.

There are also "skillshots" that are easier to use effectively like Malphite's ult, Ornn's ult, Braum's ult, or Sona's ult.

Naut's ult is pretty tame as far as engage ults go tbh, just because of that delay.

That's not an option against all teams, though. If they have Kassadin or Nidalee for instance they can easily reach you and burst you while you're knocked up. I don't like Vi's ultimate either, for the record. J4's doesn't really CC you so I don't mind it too much although it's still very strong and does a ton of damage.

Malph / Ornn / Braum's ults are dodgeable. Sona's is really fast though, yeah.

Really just buff his AP ratios a bit and he is good .

Sp33d Zer01 votes

He doesn't build AP so that does nothing.

KlydeFrog1 votes

Lol how little you know . Transcedence ..... doesn't build AP then pray tell how I can have like 300 AP off of building only protobelt?

Sp33d Zer01 votes

Grats you're building suboptimal to make use of transcendence.

The only reasonable ap to get on naut is gathering storm or Rod if you wanna pretend it's season 6.

KlydeFrog1 votes

Didn't realize going straight tank but having a crap ton of AP was sub optimal

Sp33d Zer01 votes

There is no build that is "straight tank" with a crap top of AP.

There a few items you can pick up that make you more of a bruiser, but that is far from straight tank.

item 3027 item 3151 could be good on him if you want to be a bruiser. But you lose a lot of resistances you would have from item 3143 item 3194 . Let's say you pick up randuins and adaptive though, you now have 1 item slot available. What are you going to put in it between item 3001 item 3193 item 3110 item 3190 item 3109 item 3800 item 3075 item 3083 .

Let's say you go the transcendence path. item 3001 item 3194 item 3025 item 3109 item 3800. But wait, now you have traded out a locket for 40 ability power. That is just not worth the trade. Plus you are losing warmogs for dipping in and out and being able to absorb poke. Not to mention now you are being shredded by adc by not having a randuins.

You can run gathering storm and get up to 170 ability power at 60 minutes with the transcendence build, but 170 ap is not going to be make or break in the same way the support tank items are on naut.

KlydeFrog1 votes

Gathering storm and transcedence, I reach more 400 AP every match and the only AP item I build is protobelt. Other then that it's abyssal mask iceborn, warmongs Mr boots, right glory , you get the idea. And that's straight tank sooooo yah

Sp33d Zer01 votes

item 3152 is 60 ability power. item 3001 item 3025 item 3800 is 40% + 10% from proto belt - ability power converting 20 to be 40 AP. You are now at 100 ability power. You get +10 ability power from sorcery secondary with resolve. That's 110.

So you're telling me that your games go long enough to get 290 ability power from gathering storm every game. Because that means your games are going for 80 minutes every game.

The math doesn't add up so I call BS.

The only way you are consistently hitting 400 ability power with this build you listed is if your last item is death cap at 40 minutes. Which is not straight tank.

Try it then get back to me

Show me the math and get back to me.
