Why don't more people use Nasus support?

Why don't more people go Nasus as a tanky support? It works really well now. The Face of the Mountain line of items is perfect for building Q -- you get one minion every wave (including siege), plus you farm extra while your ADC is backing to town buying items. Also, after laning phase, you transition into tanky nasus who can free-farm since you don't have a specific laning opponent. Additionally, wither and spirit fire guarantee that your ADC wins all trades. Everyone knows how fun it is to be the jungler on a team with top-lane Nasus -- it is free ganks. Now your ADC is like a jungler -- trade for days!

You basically build standard tank Nasus, but you throw in a sightstone and face of the mountain before getting your sheen item. You will be tanky, deal tons of damage, and you will have shut down the enemy carry from the very start of the game.

Sounds kind of meh to me. While Wither and Spirit Fire together sound good in the bot lane, it does little against caster damage which early on is the main source of damage for most ADCs and your analysis doesn't take into account what the enemy support will do in the trade I feel. You also assume to be getting much more farm than a support would typically get without getting flamed on for.

I think it fares a bit worse than the supporting of another infinite scaler in Veigar who can also take advantage of the Face of the Mountain as well as has that AoE stun cage and acceptable damage against the AP carry with his ult.

You aren't going to get enough Q stacks for it to be worthwhile. I'd be surprised if you got even 200 before 30 minutes at your elo.

I guess my comparison, though, is vs. other supports. As Nasus support, you will be a tanky guy with wither and an armor shred. The Q will just make you do more damage than other supports would do.

As a support, I feel that wither and spirit fire are extremely potent spells. The fact that you can jump in with your ult and a (not as good as solo-lane) Q is just icing on the cake.
