But flashing used too never cancel it. I have noticed more auto attacks and abilities being cancelled also.

I honestly with they would change all short range point and clicks to do this. Namely Cho ulti, Garen ulti, Darius ulti. IMO if you get the flash off you should get out.

Your target probably flashed out of vision. That is one of the few ways to cancel an enemy's cast.

No it has happened a lot with enemy in vision the entire time.

https://youtu.be/7isEYW7gQis Embarrasingly bad ult but otherwise i have too look through games. The only reason no one backed me up is no one plays Cho.

That is indeed pretty weird. I guess they fucked up when they changed the indicator.

Yup! I believe this is intended. And I'm fairly certain it isn't new. Most targeted spells that aren't empowered basic attacks work like this, iirc. The problem with Cho'Gath's ultimate is that it has much shorter range so enemies are capable of blinking to avoid it. If you somehow instantly put yourself outside of pantheon Q range whlist it was casting I believe you'd find a similar result.

That said, it's frustrating and has resulted in wasted flashes for flash+R from me in the past. Since I'm pretty sure Riot hasn't even touched the horrid ult fails to execute and goes on cooldown bug(but displays as ready when you ping it) despite all the threads about it, I doubt this will be changed any time soon.

I'm fairly certain it is new though, I have killed people with Cho R after they flash a lot till this patch.

"Most targeted spells that aren't empowered basic attacks work like this, iirc." Garen ult and Darius ult do not work like this.

"The problem with Cho'Gath's ultimate is that it has much shorter range so enemies are capable of blinking to avoid it." I have a video in this thread of the bug. I have killed an Ahri that flash ulted away from me with Cho R so distance moved away is irrelevant.

At least as of two weeks ago, no other spell in the game works like this.

You can flash Mordekaiser’s ult too, even if you’re still in range xD

FireDrizzle1 votes

Ouch.

Does the ult still go on cooldown? I'd assume not, right? That would be pretty busted

FireDrizzle1 votes

It doesnt go on cooldown. It can go off after something dies and go on cooldown similar too Nasus Q though.

You still cannot flash Rengar Q, or Hecarim E.

So if someone flashes your R You 2 basically re-enact a Tom and Jerry scene or any cartoon scene in general

Jonesybones1 votes

it's a bug

freeformline1 votes

Yeah, that happened to me once or twice in an ARAM earlier this week. It was infuriating.

Moonscourge1 votes

That's not new. It has a cast time.

You can cancel Garen's ult by moving out of range fast enough, you don't even need to flash or blink or enter the fog of war... Just exit its range before the sword comes down.

But yeah, that darn Garen and his zero counter play ult >:|

FireDrizzle1 votes

When i play vs Garen it feels like I flash the same time he Rs but he kills me. But the game is not consistent and it has some lag even playing at 25-29 ms, which you can see when you look at a replay.

Greenette1 votes

It's confusing for the Garen player and for people who play against him as well.

I've cast R in enemies only for nothing to happen, as they run but remain in vision. Garen even begins the animation only for the enemy to get slightly out of idk, confirmation range??
