Camille's Tactical Sweep and Arcane Comet has zero counterplay and is extremely toxic/mindless

Proposing in the future term a severe ranged nerf, removal of the slow, or the ability to not be able to move on wind up. It's been a long time coming on my mind.

Unlike Camille's wall dive that can be fairly sidestepped at moderate to large distance or even Grounded on first cast (unfortunately I lost a great webm example of this) if your reactions are that trained, there is absolutely no counterplay to Camille's Tactical Sweep and Arcane Comet despite the latter being envisioned as always a step ahead of Aery for being able to land certain abilities.

The sheer width depicted combined with the fact that Camille can move and will always have Celerity means there is absolutely no means to sidestep it at any distance or outrun it even as another Celerity user or doubly a high MS champion like Singed. It is constant free mindless ranged harass from an already overbearing champion with little to no depth.

Step forward fam. Isn't it similar to Darius Q with the whole inner/outer range thing?

Yeah Camille can move too but they're usually expecting you to run away, not toward 'em. Last-second juke or something. The ability itself has counterplay, so it's got counterplay with comet, too.

No there IS no stepping forward if you don't see the range.

Darius Decimate range is circled entirely and barely around the character himself with almost no range (it's about the width of Garen's spin). If he doesn't have you slowed and you are both at even pace (i.e, no boots, neither of you have Swifties or Deadman's upping the other) it can be sidestepped every single time under every circumstance and the ability itself not only teaches you how to play vs Darius but how to sidestep in general.

It also doesn't abuse Comet or can as it doesn't slow you at all, which is the big fucking problem of the topic at hand.

But you KNOW the range anyway. It's not like it changes depending on wind-up time or something - there is no variable with the ability besides where Camille moves.

So just move forward. It's not instant-cast. It's not sporadic as fuck. The range is consistent so just step toward her.

I don't know who you are to think you can tell me about something I see and observe every day in Diamond lol.

If you're in diamond then you should know how to juke shit.

Camille can just hold right-click while in windup time to ensure it will hit you 80% of the time. And by holding right-click I mean maneuvering the slash so it will hit. And that's not factoring in the comet.

And the enemy diamond Camilles should also know how to land shit yes?

he brings up a good point though. why doesnt camilles w have a windup indicator like darius q? seems to me like a clarity issue that could easily be fixed.

also, they could give her the same treatment as darius got back after season 5 worlds and narrow the outer range of her q down a little.

to be honest, comete will hit 100% of the time with any ability that has a slow. Though this is especially observable on Camille, changing comete somehow seems to be the best solution. think of lux or velkoz for example, their poke is much higher with this rune.

You can side step everything Lux or Velkoz throw out.

There is no need to hit Comet because of Camille.

"Camille op plz gutter" My friend, were you around when she was released? Do you understand how to fight against her? In the beginning, there was almost NOTHING you could do to fight against her. Now, you can! Cc destroys her if you chain it. And, as for comet and tactical sweep combo, you can actually just move towards her, making her do both less damage, remove the slow, remove her heal, and getting you in range to trade an extra auto or something. Camille isn't someone you can just blindly play against, you have to plan how you play. Play around the windows of her cooldowns. "Did she just use her q? okay, she won't have it for a couple of seconds, she's chasing me with her w, so i can go towards her, get some trade damage, and she can't q to speed up." "Okay, her q is up, and she's leg sweeping me, I should move towards her while she can't q me, and use any mobility i have to move away from her before she can q"
