CoolKnightST1 votesYou forget that it only disables the tribute effect. You still get the +2 gold per 10 seconds. After 30 minutes you get the cost out of it no matter what. So in longer games it doesn't actually hurt your build. You still will proc the spellthiefs from time to time. It doesn't matter it you don't trigger it often. It will still aply in teamfights. I generally got the tribute arround 25 minutes so I earned 300 gold with it. 
actually only gives you 100 gold that u let's say finish on 15 minutes (probally less). The main differents is that it takes longer to collect.

awesomer1111 votesThe item itself is good, along with its mana, but how many ADC's can really benefit off of AP. Also, the passive gets disabled every time you CS. Slight problem for ADC's, if you know what I mean
