Zeke's Herald is never an appealing purchase. Let's make it a little more usable.
Presently, I pretty much never get Zeke's Herald, even if I'm on a team with 4 AD's. Why? Because the stats it gives to the wielder are crap. 20% CDR might be good, but with only 250 HP it's not worth the investment of a slot when instead I could get a Black Cleaver or Frozen Heart. And before you say "Zeke's is super stat-efficient because of its aura", stat-efficiency does not make an item good. Or do I need to remind you of Atma's Impaler?
But the problem isn't just terrible personal stats (after all, what support wants lifesteal?). The problem is that the scenario where it's good is too easy to hard-counter; if you have a team with 3-4 AD users, the enemy will get Thornmails. Afterwards, you're left with a defensive item that is easily outperformed by other defensive items like Righteous Glory, Randuin's, Locket, and Frozen Heart.
To remedy this for the wielder, I suggest the following:
#Zeke's Herald
+
+
+ 600 gold = 2650 gold
400 health 20% CDR UNIQUE AURA: Nearby allied champions gain +20 attack damage and +10% life steal. (1100 Range)
The cost increase might be seen by some as a turnoff, but I view it as necessary to allow the item to have a health bonus that actually makes it slot-efficient. Now I might actually get this item on occasion instead of immediately snubbing it.
