@Riot Repertoir - What is the point/goal of the Ashe rework?

Is there any chance that you could take some time to talk about the motives and goals behind the Ashe rework?

I ask because this definitely seems like an awkward time to roll out an Ashe rework. In solo queue, she currently has a healthy pick rate and a great win rate. Sure she isn't played in competitive play - but most immobile ADCs aren't! Moreover, it's not like this rework is going to make her viable for competitive play.

To be honest, I am somewhat concerned that a champion who is enjoying more time in the meta than she has in a long time is about to be reworked in a way that she will be less effective and successful.

Thanks for any comments or insight you might have.

If I recall correctly, the Ashe rework is the result of having a few extra hands on the team that didn't have much to do.

Have you ever worked on a long series of projects before? For people who do this, there's always that one early project that they did god knows how long ago, and while you can argue that that early project was "okay", the person(s) who made that project long ago will look at it and think "I can do this so much better". From the bits and pieces I picked up from red posts surrounding Ashe, this seemed to be the case.

all i know is, manaless permaslow, one of the best steroids in the game, awesome vision control and a global range stun she won't hold up against bruisers or tanks but i think she has what she needs to be at the very least viable
