How important is map awareness?

Assume my map awareness was very inconsistent, only checking the map when the enemy jungler crosses my mind like when I'm very overextended or when pings go off. Then I had some guy just watch the map for me, practically making my map awareness flawless. How much would my elo improve from Silver 3 in YOUR opinion?

impossible to tell because we have no way of knowing how often you decide to think of the jungler

just watch the map when nothings happening and glance down every few seconds
