Title. Why do we need them? 5 bans a team seems like a step in the wrong direction.
Edit: this is a response to the many threads i see saying "Such and such a champion needs reworks, otherwise they will be perma banned, especially with the 5ban system coming up." Maybe, instead of that, we get rid of all bans. Seems like a more fair solution.
They did get rid of bans. It's called Blind Pick.
This makes no sense.
If a champ is going to get perma-banned, that somehow means there is a problem in the community and that they don't need bans AT ALL, and not the problem of the champ in question?
There used to be 4 and 6 bans for 40 or so champs you know, we have nearly 140 champs now, there is no way having 10 bans is "a step in the wrong direction." Bans exist to promote strategic diversity, there is nothing wrong with it. If a champ is actually perma-banned, the problem is in the champ, not the mere notion of ban.
