What would happen if Amumu could use his Q on friendly wards?

The title says it all, really. I play a lot of Amumu when I have to jungle and I enjoy it well enough, but playing against a Lee Sin yesterday I wondered: if Lee can use his W to jump to a ward and it's considered insanely OP and whatever, what if Amumu could do the same thing with his Q?

He's pretty slow, so I'm not sure it'd make him overly-mobile. He's also mana-dependent and his bandage toss, like other spells in his kit, can eat up a fair amount of mana, especially if it was spammed to make 'dem plays' or whatever, Lee Sin style. He already depends pretty heavily on Blue Buff, especially early on. (I can give second and/or third blue to my mid-laner, but I find I have to be careful how I use my mana if I don't have it.)

He'd have a longer range to attach to, yes, but I think with it's cooldown and it's cost being what they are, I don't know that it would be used for ganks so much as for an emergency escape when you don't have flash up.

Please note I don't actively WANT Riot to give this change to Amumu, it just occurred to me and I was curious about what other people thought. I'm sure it sounds stupid, but I feel like there are some limits to prevent it from being abused badly like with Lee Sin, and considering he's one of the junglers for whom it wouldn't be particularly a bad idea to run Boots of Mobility, perhaps he could benefit from it?

There's a couple of champs i think need to be able to do this, since kat, lee, and jax can, but others like braum, talon, amumu, akali, and diana, cannot. there are a couple differences though that might weed out a few ( i may have missed some too though) where the 3 listed that can do it, they do it more through hops instead of skill shots this removes amumu and off the top of my head i cant think of any skill shots that land on wards. another difference is the original 3 do not use ultimates to get to wards which in theory weeds out akali and diana, another thing to note though is that both of these are "all in" champs that don't have any escapes thus could be part of the design. as for braum and talon i see no differences that shouldn't allow them to ward hope other than talon being a semi-"all in" champ with his escape already restricted to his r, and braum not wanting to be alone anyway so why encourage it? if his allies sacrifice him by not letting him hop to them they are at fault, not ward hopping.

TL;DR: skill shots don't hit wards. amumu shouldn't be the exception and while i think there is a bit of discrepancy in ward hoping, the arguments against it on some champs is sound.

Well, since it's a skill shot and not a targeted ability....

I expect I'd hit a TON of wards by accident simply because they were there.

I'd guess it would make him much better at invading/not dying when he gets invaded, and pulling off ganks from behind. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Amumu mains?

no there are plenty of reasons to take Amumu vs Sejuani atm giving an escape ability to him just makes them even more similar.

Also no skillshot currently takes you to wards.

If champion A can do something considered insanely OP and whatever, do we really want other champions doing insanely OP and whatever plays as well?

Also - at the most basic level, each champion should have the tools necessary to survive long enough to do their job, but only just enough so they can be played around. Defense, CC, Range, and Mobility all offer different ways at surviving. And Amumu already has impressive defense and amazing CC.

oh boy no, are you nuts

amumu is already insane being the only tank who can build ap while not losing any tankyness not to mention his high scalings if you will boost his mobility we will get an insanely op wersion of lee sin
