You're assuming several/missing things that skew this calculation;

Assuming Janna always hits her Q. Sona NEVER misses as long as she's in range, and on-cast Q outranges Janna's W by a full 300 (and powerchord by 100). Q does it's on-cast damage to two targets, and the on-hit can be applied twice because of the ADC. Sona typically starts with more AP than a Janna would.

Sam has it right - Sona is far and away better at poking - Platinum Support main with thousands of games under my belt.

OP is hung up on raw stats and is skipping critical data.

If you stand there and take it, Sona can do it quickly and reliably.

If you are using your q to poke as Janna, you suck at her.

And W isn't the best to spam either.

And while Janna has a higher base, Sona actually builds ap on a regular basis, and synergizes with item 3100 because half of her combo is aa focused.

You also ignored that Sona's passive, when it is on q, gets a 40% increase in damage.

you're forgetting an auto reset and low cooldowns

Your arguments are all downvoted maybe because they all have something in common. Can you maybe find it in a way that somehow maybe you're wrong?

You can't say "Let the downvotes start rolling in." Just saying that won't protect you from the fact that you're most likely probably wrong, and it doesn't protect you from me saying that you've been downvoted. (And if you say that's not what that was for, what was it for then?)

I guess I'll argue now.

How come you inclueded all of Janna's abilities in her total burst combo, but not all of Sona's abilities?

It's known that Sona's ult will empower her Q and that sona's ult does a lot of damage too. Also, sona builds CDR too and her cooldowns are lower than Janna's.

Oh here's a quick hypothetical. Your life is on the line, you gotta one shot an ADC but have 2 choices of champions to do it with. Sona, or Janna?

Nah Sona's stronger, it's obvious to literally everyone but you.

This is proof a Janna has more damage pre 6. But as the game goes on, Sonas damage is more reliable to land fully. Practically everyone gets 40% CDR, so it's not incredibly relevant to include. To burst a champion, one would prefer Sona. To deal consistent high damage, one would pick Janna. But in the end of idealism, Jannas kit is to protect and peel and so should be built utility, where Sonas is a mess that relies on empowerments and so should be built to enhance (or deal half hp reliably with one ability and auto without needing to be self rooted).

So ultimately, what is the point of the reminder?
