What Happened to Tank Diana?

Hey, Just a question,

Diana top used to be played a ton. what caused it to fall out of meta? I feel like it's still viable with items like and (for the permaslow) - I tried this in the practice tool with this build - She hit well over 4k HP with her Shield included, (around 3800 without it), did around 600 DPS and 7k damage in a 10 second long fight (with a dummy lol)

I don't think tank diana is too bad, especially in extended fights. the thing i love about it is that she's still mobile as hell, her burst is still mighty fine, and she does way more sustained damage

What happened to Diana overall? She is one of the most under-performing champions in the entire game at the moment. I hardly ever see Diana players these days and she seems to have just fallen out of the meta completely.

She lacks the waveclear and safeness mages like Orianna, Syndra and the likes have, nor does she have the "escape tools" most assassins have. Once she jumps in, she's in, kills one target and dies.

Sure, one can make her work, she's not THAT weak, but other champs are just easier and offer more to begin with.

But yeah, she is still decent, given the fact there are a few Diana mains and onetricks in Challanger.

Every champion has their pros and cons. For diana, she has a weak waveclear and a rocky start, but she's really really hard to counter play. unlike other bursts, like ahri, orianna, etc, you really can't really counter her hard because she will punish you for every mistake you make. syndra. The only mistake diana can make is not landing her Q. Once diana lands her Q, every other ability is basically a non-skill shot and guaranteed to land. Did she miss her Q? That's okay, she'll just wait for her next one, she's not in a bad situation.

Basically, You can't punish diana for missing her Cresent strike, yet if she does land it, delete.

she's underplayed, she isn't underpowered. If you get a snowball started you can dominate the game (its not that hard to start a snowball with diana). I'm not surprised you never see her, especially in silver (and in oce, which is a very influential server. people tend to play what others play most)

I love diana. She's my secret weapon and never lets me down. her burst is huge regardless of how fed she is. Did my opponent laner get a snowball Started? I'll just go bot and one-shot their adc so i can snowball harder.

How is a champion with huge mana issues supposed to compete with the likes of Garen Riven Renekton etc?

The game is entirely tilted towards AD champs. AP items are also far worse than AD items.

You are just wrong, besides the short glimp of light AD champs had when lethality was op, all that is played in midlane is AP. Not to speak of mages fucking up the support role and to a lesser degree toplane with rumble.

And AP items are actually stronger than AD items, besides maybe Botrk right now.

I like to mess around with Bruisher Diana when I'm bored.

Last item sometimes I go with item 3091 or item 3026
sometimes I decide to start item 3027 sometimes I feel a Sheen in my life item 3025 orr item 3078

I've used Fervor, TLords, and CoC.

It's not great by any means, but it's fun lol.

No reason to pick her at all. If you want assasin, there are better than her atm. Same with mages, tanks, bruisers, waveclear mids, anything that she does, there is someone better at it (except if you want farming ap jungler, because she can't gank pre-6).
