When towers die they should explode, killing all of the minions who are in it's range

This way the enemy split pusher can't just take out 3 towers in a row with one-two waves of minions This will reset the wave making it so taking towers closer to the enemy base are a little more difficult Tell me what you think C:

i mean if someone is taking 3 turrets without your team doing something you probably deserve to lose

But if it's a tryndamere?

Fuck Tryndamere, hail for his upcoming rework

this is true

you forgot to add, with 1 minion wave.

also, +1

it takes like 3 seconds to kill a turret by the time you see it happening there isn't any time to counter or cross map . . .

i mean you could do it, but you would for sure lose all your other towers too

sounds like a bad idea to me, that kinda destroys the main idea behind splitting in the first place. itwould create a situation where the team losing would have much more of a harder time coming back. taking objectives on general (Lets say yuo won a fight and u take 1 tower but then u dont have minions anymore.) would be more difficult too. either u have a tank to tank it or the other team just doesnt lose much. it would push all split ushers out of the meta completly and make the game even shorter than it is now. the whole idea behind having high timers is that u can exploit your adventage from the fight, and that kinda denies it.

You still give global gold and apply pressure, but now you don't lose your nexus if you want to win the fight, rather than sending 1-2 people top

As someone who played a bit of vainglory (admittedly pretty different in a lot of ways) the turrets exploding wasn't a huge deal. Instead of killing the minions they would roughly half health them, which meant that the next turret burned through the wave much faster. So instead of resetting the wave it just weakens it.

Vainglory has only one lane though, so it's not really about splitpushing as much as group pushing after killing the enemy team.

That is true.

While I don't agree with you, I'm going to give you an upvote for offering an idea I haven't thought of before.

IMO, the best way to make it so that enemies can't push so hard is to reduce damage across the board. That way towers don't disappear in 5 seconds, ADCs don't get killed in 0.08 seconds, one hit doesn't chunk for half or more HP (eg. Gangplank) and people actually feel like they had a chance to play a strategical game, all at the cost of a somewhat longer game.

Valderis Vandala5 votes

That would also make comebacks more difficult and could prolong the length of matches in general.

EDIT: Might be a nice option for ARAM though. Maybe...

reaperteaser2 votes

that could possibly dumpster alot of split pushers, also could be abused in denying farm to whoever comes to clear the wave. you lose precious gold and a tower all at once

Iźuku Midoriya2 votes

You get props for the cool idea but maybe make it half health them and maybe do no damage to super minions?

Valeckserai2 votes

Not a fan. This fucks over split pushers for doing something that the enemy team deserves to be punished for if they don't respond in the time frames that you are talking about. It also makes it much harder to come back from losing if you are down in objectives, making snowballing much harder to stop than it already is.

Split pushing isn't even that strong. It doesn't need to be nerfed.

Death and Doom2 votes

why? split pushing as a mechanic is pretty well-balanced and gives people a chance to come back when they r losing to a team-fight oriented team. learn how to play against instead of asking for nerfs.

IceKingChernobog2 votes

the game right now is already ridiculously snowbally, this sounds like a bad idea.

MrDrBudd2 votes

so you want to destroy probably the one way to actually solo carry in low elo in this meta, is what youre telling me.

FalconPawwwwnch2 votes

Nobody even splitpushes in competitive play lmao

Jax/Trynd/Nasus etc are all fuckin garbage tier

Nasus is garbage..? I like him :c

Ahristocats2 votes

split pushing is already inferior in this meta

so no

Its a good idea in theory, but think about how long this would delay games. You would probably only be able to get 1 tower max on every ace your team gets. This means it could theoretically take 3 consecutive aces with minions pushed up to kill the nexus towers.

I like the idea. Another similar idea would be to give a temporary buff, maybe 2 or 3 min, to the leftover tower in the lane (think of it as an emergency mode). The buff would either fortify its defenses or increase its AD and AS.

But then you lose out on xp/gold

jurrrr1 votes

The tower should do damage to the minions if anything

ZephyrDrake1 votes

i would say more damage minions by a set % amount more than killing the entire minion wave just like that. Something like 40~50% damage to a minions HP would be more than enough. That way splitpushers don't feel terrible since their minion wave just got evaporated for doing what they should be doing and gives the next turret and your team more of a breathing room
