Normals Are Unplayable

Not only is the match making often wack, but people just give up instantly even when we've had large shut downs to get back in it. I've had back to back surrenders on Yi and Kayle with a large lead. Our team was usually only down ~3-4k mid game and they just FF at 20 every time. I'm robbed of the chance to carry. Even if we would have lost those (which I actually doubt), I'd at least be able to test my builds late game.

People wonder why we smurf on random accounts in ranked. There's just no alternative to get even a remotely competitive game.

How do you repeat the point and still miss it? People often smurf to learn new champions and roles. Some are upset to face smurfs but in reality, there's just no alternative because normals are too much of a joke to learn anything but the most basic aspects of a champion. You're forced to smurf if you want to really test new builds/roles/champs etc.

Smurfing to get a remotely competitive game? Ok, try again....

what? what does people surrendering in a NORMAL game have to do with smurfs? "there is no alternative to get a remotely competitive game" that is why you are playing normals? a mode where people don't take seriously in most cases? the mode where people aren't even playing their best position, champion and trying out new things in most cases? that is the mode you go to look for "competitive games"?

solo queue - tryhard (usually) flex queue - old normals normals - circus

Well i'm not the easily give up guy, but. I refuse to tryhard on normals. If enemy got 20 more kills, every dragon, and our inhib turrets are in danger while not even one enemy turret is down at 15min., then it's hopeless. It doesn't matter how hard you try. Unless enemy goes into a serious throwfest, or goes afk, or surrenders you can't win.

Back in the day you could at least build on lategame. Survive until 50+, and once everyone is fullbuild everything before is irrevelant. Also one good fight, and you win.

Now that's not the case. Tons of smaller buffs from dragons, 2 big buffs from elder+baron, and damage is way too large to "survive".
