Primary issue with league of legends.

AD itemization. Masteries of course are an issue and so is champion balance, but the thing that allows various stupid **** to happen are the items themselves. AD itemization is a cesspool of items that basically ended up as "how many stats can we throw on this that'd make it REALLY cool". You have defensive items with damage/offensive stats tied to them which leads to champions becoming far more durable than they need to without draw back.

Having camille, riven, fiora, graves, and the rest of these sort of champions deal higher damage than assassins while building these items to ensure their survival is not healthy. It's like as long as they aren't officially labeled as primary assassins then it suddenly becomes ok for this to happen.

The itemization doesn't need balancing, it doesn't need tuning, it needs to just go. The items don't have to get deleted, but a class type rework for these items DO need to happen. Items that pair up defensive stats with offensive damage need to be reworked, and repurposed. The more defensive oriented items like Deadman's needs to be repurposed into pure defensive items. Juggernaut items like Blackcleaver and Titanic Hydra need mechanics implemented so they're exclusively viable for the juggernaut class only.

Non juggernaut items that are more purely damage oriented like Edge of night and Maw need to just lose their defensive stats all together. Make the items utility focused so they lose a large portion of their offense for the utility they're gaining.

Another issue is that itemization is too free. 1 classes items are getting used and abused by another class, which leads to item nerfs, which leads to indirect nerfs to the class that the items were made for.

Think I'm just an idiot? If you carefully look at the problem children that have arisen in the past, it's typically something to do with some sort of defensive/offensive item that's related. The latest issue is lethality items, and more specifically Edge of night. With Maw and Edge, a player can effectively shut out magic damage while giving up no offensive power and getting such lovely utility from the items. They're too damn overloaded.

Before that ( and even now) was camille who's overloaded with base damage and naturally uses items like titanic hydra too damn well.

Before that we had our lovely little bruisers. Olaf, Hecarim, Vi, Lee sin ect who just dove squishies with no problem and basically outclassed even the assassins at 1 shotting them except with no counterplay. Alongside this we also had things like frozen mallet yasuo.

Before that we also had things like tank fizz, cinderhulk tanks, ect.

Yes, the problem isn't always the defensive stats on the item. Edge of night is hated equally for its MR and Shield. But that's still a matter of the item just being too overloaded like all of the other examples that I'm talking about.

Your proposed changes would basically make every melee AD champion in the game unplayable other than assassins. Which is funny consdiering Khazix/Rengar/Lethality ADC's are currently top of the food chain. Along will pure tanks.

Bruiser/Juggies are currently in a horrible place... and you want to nerf their core items? I mean the only reason Camille is a perma ban is she can stun from 15 minutes away and her ulti. That's a kit issue, not an item issue.

If there is a problem with the current itemization it's with AP items, not AD. The problem is you can't provide AP's with better defensive items simply because the current level of toughness of champs like Mao/Naut/Grag/Elise/Rumble/Cho/Ekko. Most tanky AP champs, or AP champs that can build tanky, would become insane if there was a second AP/Armor, or AP/MR item that fit into their core builds. (And no Zekes doesn't count.)

Melee AD on the other hand typically requires +AD on their items to be any serious type of threat due to rather low base damage, and lacking the hard CC of tanks. The issue with this is they typically dont have the tankiness of the tanks, or the mobility of the assassins either. Do their only option is to build defensive items.

The issue with seperating the items if it would make them complete ASS early-mid game. They would either be too squishy to utilize their damage, or simply get bullied out of lane. I mean against a balanced damage type team you would basically need something like Ravenous Hydra/Merc's/Randuin's fully built to even think of entering a fight. By that point most games are decided. Where as currently you'd see something like Boots, Deadman's, Hexdrinker. Or Boot's, Iceborn, Spectre's. Or Merc's, Phage, Chainvest. Or just the classic tanky option of Merc's and Sunfire.

LoL is currently a snowball heavy game. If you finish laning phase down 40-50cs and a level or 2... you are basically useless. That's more of a state of the game issue as well. It's truthfully MUCH more complex than changing a few items my friend.
