LoLalytics | League of Legends Champions for Patch 6.24

Hey,

found a new stat website for the performance of League's champions. More detailed than champion.gg, since it gives data based on the current data and has almost no update delay - and yet, it still accounts for new patches as soon as they come out!

Let's have a look at the performance changes for 6.24's buffs and nerfs, shall we? Patch was released on 12/07, so everything before that is 6.23.

Azir : Pick rate up about 1%, but winrate about 1-2%, as well. So, the changes did not yet seem to do much, although the drop in winrate could very well be associated with more people playing him.

Fiddlesticks : Definitely an upward trend in his performance, with winrate and pickrate rising. However, winrate is too spiky currently. Overall, seems like the buffs had indeed a postive effect.

Garen : Buffs made him better, plain and simple. Although I don't think the surge in popularity will be a lasting one.

Ivern : Nerf had a minor effect on release day (1% down in WR for that day only). However, since then, it does seem like the changes did not majorly impact him - which is understandable, given that he builds mana regen a lot and benefits from the longer buff duration on blue (which he always has). Btw, due to the soft caps in play, the difference between a 70% slow and a 60% on a 350 MS target is only 17.5, or 5% of the unslowed value!

Katarina : Effective buff, plain and simple. Her pickrate and winrate are both on the rise - and the same goes for her ban rate.

KogMaw : The buff had a beneficial effect here, as well. At least as far as ADC Kog is concerned. AP Kog took a harsh nerf (and I cannot say with a straight face that I am too sad about that...).

Leblanc : Pickrate down, winrate down, but both only marginally. Expect 7.1 to hit her harder.

Nidalee : Buff helped some (WR +1%, about). Still horrendous and near the bottom of the barrel, but I am certainly not the only one who cannot make himself feel sad about seeing Nidalee on the ocean floor with cement boots...

Rengar : Nerf made his WR go down about 1%. Pickrate took a temporary dump, but rose back to 6.23 levels (possibly influence by Rengar in All-Stars).

Twitch : Had a hilariously high winrate of 56% before 6.24 hit. With the nerfs, it is down to about 52%. Still high, but no longer disgustingly so. Suspect it will stay there unless Riot either buffs the non-Caitlyn lanebully ADCs (Draven, Lucian, Corki) or nerfs Twitch further.

Varus : Mid Varus' performance is unaffected by the changes, while ADC Varus got a nice boost out of it, with a 2% rise in winrate and about 1% in pickrate. For him to have higher pickrate, he'll probably need to be played on a pro level.

Vayne : Interesting how so small a change can have a big impact. Her winrate tanked 2%, while her pickrate fell 4%. Good. Interestingly, her two best match-ups are currently Draven and Lucian...

That's about it for the directly champion-related changes this patch. I argue any fan of statistics to try out the site, it is really nice and informative.

I dont think buffing Kat is a good idea, she has so much damage and mobility potential.. Why not buff or revert Fizz instead FeelsBadMan

It wasn't small a change, the invisibility duration nerf lowered her survivability in teamfights tremendously.

Except her invisibility was not changed at all. All Vayne got his patch was to have Q's damage bonus scale from 30 to 50% instead of 30 to 70%.

You are right, my bad. I am not sure where I got that information orginally, it may have been in an earlier cycle of the 6.24 PBE.

Thanks for correcting me!

You're right, for a while the change was lowering her stealth duration to .5 seconds as well as a slight nerf to Q dmg, but they decided that was too severe I guess.

The stealth duration reduction was earlier during the PBE cycle, together with a nerf to Q's early damage. But they reverted that and put in the revert to her 6.17 buff - which, as the data shows, is rather effective already.

Interesting. Meddler's most recent post seems to imply otherwise; he said the Rylai's changes hit Azir hard.
