How is this matchmaking working properly?

As far as I can tell he's played nothing but bot games until now. It was only his second normal game. I so utterly demolished him that I got to his inhibitor at 12 minutes, and there was nothing his team could do about it. Nexus destroyed at 18 minutes. Garen 1/8/3, me as Yorick 10/0/0. Now he's back to playing bot games.

I felt bad realizing that probably traumatized him from wanting to play normal games. His team must have been pissed being put in that situation.

I think it's good for players under 30 to get paired with level 30s, but maybe they need to be started at a lower MMR based on their bot performance.

Well new players start at mid silver mmr. Dont ask me why its just how it is. And depending on your ranked/normals game ratio your norms mmr might be below silver putting you in the same category.

Tbh i dont understand why riot doesnt just start people at bronze 5 mmr and make them work there way up in norms and then base there first ranked placement game on there norms mmr. And go from there. But i dont work for riot so maybe they have there reasons.

The other day, as a support, I got a Gold 5 ADC, and the enemy one was Diamond 5. Working as intended? If it's intended to be totally antifun, yep :D

They need a system for people who aren't ranked that will match them with people of AROUND their skill level Just hit level 181 and had to play against a Soraka who clearly had no idea what was going on or why me as a "support" ( Pyke ) could 1v2 her and her carry with an eye, visage, and mobility boots.... I felt bad about it but it was pyke soooooo it felt so satisfying anyways Still I feel like role specific and maybe even interactive champion tutorials would do the game a lot of good

the only time I have this happen is when ever I team up with someone who is lower lvl than I am. So when I'm over 100 and my friend is at 22 We usually wind up going against people closer to my lvl than his.

The system probably thought he is a smurf , happened to me when I won a game then got matched against people who were all lvl 30+

My other account was facing plats and diamonds at level 25...

they were crushing bots so they had amazing mmr then using that data placed against players with that mmr and uninstalled
