If You Had the Chance to Delete a Champion...

MarhsallLee67··7 votes·1,894 views

...in order to increase the overall balance of League (or just to decrease your frustrations), who would you delete?

I'd personally narrow it down to Zed ,LeeSin , and Riven and then just use a random-number generator to make my final decision.

Delete the past 25 champions from the game for being way to over loaded.

Pæan5 votes

Katarina only because of how broken her passive is... If she gets one kill, she will probably get 2 or 3 more because of the insta tele-shunpo.

Does deleting a summoner count for your little question? I would drop summoner 4 in a heartbeat.

As for champions, there's no reason to delete any champion whatsoever. If some champs seem overbearing, it just means that other champions in that given role are either overnerfed or underpowered and needs buffs is all.

I completely agree that a lot of balance issues that plague League could be fixed with a few simple tweaks. Unfortunately, rito seems to be intent on keeping some champions at the top of the food chain and turn a LeeSin eye to all the other champions that suffer because of it.

Riven Snowballs way too easily unless your team like dominates the entire early and mid game as a coordinated group. But seriously this thing can get fed from moderate CS and just a few kills. I just find it ridiculous such a champion exists that scales this well especially considering her kit; its as if she was designed to be relevant whenever she wants. Skilled Rivens? The thing is just overpowered and its TOO easy to take advantage of that and big yourself up.

Azir Because a long range mage shouldn't have that much cc to couple with his mobility. Kalista Because no champion should invalidate Melee and a cc effect (movement speed slow) as much as she does.

Sorry butLeeSin = Free Win for the enemy team This guyZed = Countered by too many items and champions. And Riven = Gets beat by anything that out pokes, out sustains, or outscales

They were problem children in Season 3, but I play in Season 5.

Lee Sin. He has too much freedom to get away with almost anything he ever wants to do. And yet his abilities make it so that you are heavily restricted from doing all sorts of things against him. He has literally the least counterplay of anyone in the game. Every good champion should at least have a counter. I don't even know if it's possible to make a champion that counters him without doing something really specifically designed to be effective against him like making it so nearby enemies can't use gap closers at all or something.

Thresh Just my opinion, but i think he is royally fucking every traditional support in the game.

Braum, sooo much worse.

Braum, sooo much worse.

Not really. I would much rather face a braum than a thresh. Braum's cc and defense is healthy, while threshes is much harder to counterplay.

For balance - Lee Sin. Dude has too much going for him, and a good Lee Sin just wrecks people.

For fun - Teemo. Its not that I find fighting Teemo hard, its just that he is constantly annoying. He always has that extra magic damage on his AAs, his blind fucks you over if you're not careful and try to engage, and good luck stopping him from placing Shrooms all over the Top Lane (in the lane, on the minion path to his turret, in the entrances, etc...)

Preferably none, but if I absolutely HAD to, then I choose LeeSin.

Two reasons: His overloaded kit/numbers, and his lore (he was a former summoner, but since summoners don't exist anymore...).

For sheer balance?, the junglers who have both extremely powerful ganks and snowball potential, dueling potential and then lategame teamfight defining potential. LeeSin Vi JarvanIV

They invalidate the junglers that do only a few of these things "Yeah, Shaco has great early ganks, clear and duels, but he sucks at lategame. why not just pick LeeSin ?" "Yeah, Chogath has unexpectedly strong duels, great clear, and some awesome lategame teamfighting, but his ganks absolutely suck, why not just go Vi?" "I know Hecarim has fantastic ganks, great lategame initiation and such, but his clears suck and he can't duel for shit, why not go JarvanIV?"

HOWEVER, since the champions that are good at everything happen to be great at ganking, this invalidates not only a large group of junglers, but a large group of LANERS:

-Viktor -Zyra -Brand -Anivia -Karthus

Would be very viable, but their very nature of their kits makes them extremely vulnerable to ganks and shredded in seconds.

Azir Heimerdinger Orianna Champions with balls, turrets or soldiers that completely zone out all types of melee and many ranged classes also.

There are 2 types of champions, ranged ones and melee ones. My delete these champions list completely invalidates melee champions with extremely powerful zoning abilities that are not ultimate spells and are not part of the champion itself.

To me it is impossible to ever find a balance that would be fair to these champs or the melee class. Either soldiers, balls and turrets are too strong and invalidate melee or they are to weak and these champs are then worthless.

@ the op, all the champions you listed can be nerfed or buffed in a way that makes them more fair to play against without completely changing who they are and what there roles are and without making them worthless.

Basically anything riot has released for the past year or so. I hate them all, i hate to play them & play against. Theyre all so obnoxious and inherently more frustrating to play against then anything else. Theres several older ones as well to mention but if i had to pick one champion then Fck zed in particular i hate that champion with a passion, id even ban his ass every single game if he was nerfed into the ground

i dont even care about his winrates or if hes op or not, i just cant stand him for a second. Every game that hes in the game im annoyed from the moment the game starts

Lugg1 votes

Master Yi hands down. No real skill at all required to dominate with him. He just farms jungle the first half the game and then pentakills your team the second half. Heck, I got a penta with him the FIRST time I played him. Yes, you can kill him with CC and a coordinated attack, but where do you realistically find that outside LCS? Plus he can just Q at the right time and avoid the CC anyway. And let's not even mention how he can heal while being attacked. Ridiculously broken.

MarhsallLee671 votes

I can understand some of these, but could you explain picks like Skarner and Yorick? Do you just not like playing as or against them, or do you think they legitimately have issues that need to be addressed?

SwordGrunt1 votes

Oh I think they're fine, Yorick's laning is absurdly toxic but I don't think he's an unbalanced champion, just poorly designed. Skarner's ultimate is bullshit but that's just the rage from when he uses it on you.

Cassiopeia is broken, Heimerdinger is annoying, Irelia is broken, Karma is annoying, I hate LeBlanc's 100-0, Poppy is straight up completely broken, Swain is toxic and overpowered.

Nidalee I don't care if Zed and Lee are considered the strongest champs in the game. I don't care how impossible it is to kill a good Azir or Kalista.

Ever since I started playing, Nidalee has been the champ to give me the most headache. Yeah she can't one shot me with a spear anymore, now she just has to land her point and click trap and press three buttons.
