Heimer support is a sleeper agent. lvl 6 Heimer can solo dragon and you don't even have to step into the pit. Place turrets from behind the wall and spread em out. You will take it without anyone knowing.

The normal shots don't apply spell effects (Rylai's is a special case if it still does). The beam should proc FQC, though.

The normal shots still slow from rylais last I checked (don't know don't normally buy the item since it is so lackluster with Heimer actually having good ratios now). It honestly doesn't make TOO much sense for them not to since Heimer doesn't have a "real" way to stack them compared to someone like Zyra or Brand who still get multiple stacks an instance whereas Heimer gets at most 1 from his W even if he hits all 5 missles.

It doesn't have to proc spell effects. As FQC proc on damaging spells and auto attacks

Are you sure the first shot doesn't proc it? Might be a case of the coding listing all damage from a turret as one spell instance and only proccing it once.

I don't think they count as a hit for Thunderlord's either. Not really a problem cause you can just use W, but it might have to do something with the whole preventing DoT from proccing Thunderlord's thing.

I think it might be a relic from a time where Heimerdinger's turrets were considered really oppressive in lane, due to how they could so easily home in on enemy champions, and thereby use the item to get tons of free gold and damage each time. Now that it's no longer as much the case, I do think it might be better to no longer special-case his turrets. Teemo's E also similarly doesn't interact with Spellthief's and certain other effects, though that's also because Teemo is still considered fairly oppressive.
