"Play X Champ" is not counterplay

I really don't understand why that's the go to excuse? Maybe it'll work if you pick second but i don't get why people use that as an excuse to allow broken champ kits to be broken. Like the akali shroud argument against melee champs usually breaks down to "Play rumble not a melee champ". I really don't understand this sentiment, as you can't literally mind read the enemy pick. It's just a toxic ability period, but these kinds of people whop come with this kind of advice is literally helping no one. Maybe this should be in rant hmm

If a single champion has answers to every single match up then that champion is broken.

Stop being a 1 trick and play something else instead of forcing bad matchups. If all your champs are bad into it, learn a new one.

Some champions do well against certain types of champions but poorly against others. You getting counterpicked is no excuse to whine about a champion that beat you. So yes, picking certain types of champions is a valid counterplay option. Just like building certain items is also a counterplay option. Stop playing every single lane the same. Whether you are in a losing matchup, a winning matchup or an "even" or "skilled" matchup you have to play each one differently.

Definition of 'counterplay'

a positive or aggressive action by the defending side, esp in chess. verb (intransitive)
to make an opposing or positive action from a position of defence.

As long as there's a way to beat something, counterplay exists.

Counterplay DOES NOT MEAN you do something and automatically beat something.

** There is NOT a single champion in the game who has Zero counterplay.**
