@Riot Stashu, how do you feel about where Cass is now? (Poll Included)

I feel like since there's a big fuss about Mord's new rework (And all of the new reworks coming out in bundles), it's a good time to reflect on Cassiopeia's.

Ever since the rework, you haven't shown your big red icon on the boards again. And I definitely don't blame you. The boards are a pretty scary place to be when the community is all riled up and angry about a new rework.

However, there's been plenty of time to see the results of your Cass rework. Actually, an entire season. As it stands, Cass has about a 44-48% win rate. In Diamond alone her win rate drops to 40%. Lower than 50% and steady usually means something's wrong. Not only that, but people still insist (myself included) that it was still the wrong direction to go with her.

Every once in a while threads about her pop up, and these three points seem to be the same in the complaints:

  1. She still doesn't feel like a poison mage. She's more of a burst mage now (Ult + Q/W + E spam = Kill?).
  2. She has a more spam-required kit than Riven, and** that's** saying something. (E-focused kit)
  3. Her kit is entirely reliant upon snowballing and a boring passive (In my opinion, would actually be an incredibly fun passive** if **she was more focused on her poisons instead of E).

So, how do you feel about it? Do you agree with the community that it was the wrong direction to take? Do you think that you could've listened to feedback more? Do you still feel that it was a healthier direction to go?

How does the community feel about Cass' rework?

I already lost any expectations for this company. If you think Stashu is the only villain here, you'll be surprised how little the rest of his collegues care. Countless threads over the last months, many of them on the frontpage, and not a single (!) response. I doubt we'll ever see or hear from them again, we might aswell bury the champion alltogether. Yorick can handle the funeral.

I'm calling it right now, if Stashu replies to this thread. His comment will be downvoted to oblivion.

She's as toxic (Hue) as the new Mordekaiser. They played up their weaknesses and gave them completely unfair and often unfun mechanics to increase their power level. But that's not the issue, power should never be the main drive of a rework but to make the champion feel better and fit into the current meta instead of getting outclassed. They need to find their spot and identity but completely missed the mark.

How is a response this aggressive and hostile supposed to entice someone back to the boards?

I edited it slightly to make it seem a little less "hostile". Would still love feedback from other players, though.

I think she is fine.

Her major problem is time. Her passive is a time gate, you don't have much control on how fast it comes, it normally finishes at about 27 min. They did this to prevent crazy snowballing

The problem is, this change made her into a feast or famine champion. She might not snowball hard but she is winning early but a few E's when she is winning it rips through tanks. When she is losing those E's feel weak.

I would have loved if they split her passive along to her abilities. The heal would go to her E, after leveling it 2 times. Her cool down reduction would kick in on her ult after lvl 11. Her last passive % ap would be just increase ap rations at max skill

And her new could have been something else.

With that said, I think this new Cass is better than the old one. The old one needed a rework, and I'm a cass player since s1. Back in s2 before zed, Yas, vi..etc I would never have said that, but the game has changed. People including myself had resorted to maxxing q in lane instead of E as it was intended because these new champs were real bullies.

I hope if they do work on her in the future, they address this gated hyper scaling, it's horrible because it doesn't shift well with metas. It's a feast or famine playstyle and feeling.

Also, her pick rate has increased since rework so there is that

Ever since the rework, you've run and hid, never showing yourself on the boards again

Yea that'll sure make him participate in the conversation. Notice how after the attempt at a community driven cass update, riot has been doing their reworks behind closed doors?

Stashu wanted to get the community involved and people just took that as an opportunity to make demands and then attack the guy when it didn't work out as they wanted.
