Should sion get some changes? Question from a sion main.

I've been wondering for a while now what can be done about Sion and his lack of use on upper tiers of play (as a sion main i do that sometimes). I know not all champions are meant to be as useful as you climb up the ladder, but i feel as if he should be more usable. I don't think he needs buffs, not at all but some changes to shift his power around would allow him to be more successful higher up. Maybe give him self health ratios, or change the % damage form w to e? I can come up with lots of ideas, and i bet so can riot, but the important question is: Should he get some number adjustments?

Sion's performance is pretty solid right now

51% winrate overall, 57% on experienced players, 17th place out of 55 on their performance ranking scale, and he is average or above average in everything except kills. He has above average damage taken and seriously above average assists. The only thing is that his play rate is low (2%), probably because he involves facilitating your team more than winning on your own and most people want to be the sick lcs big plays solo carry.

Imo Sion should get a buff on his shield, to me it is too easy to pop

I don't think riot likes Sion, so I don't think they'll do anything with him. Other than nerf him if his support play reaches competitive.

But having an AD/Tank champion that frequently starts D. Ring means they really goofed something up in their adjustments.

Reverting the W changes so that it scales more off items then ranks, and feels like you have some agency on whether or not you detonate it would be a good start.

Reverting the Q and E power shifts would also make Top and Jungle Sion preferable to support Sion, which unfortunately has the highest winrate for Sion currently.

When they shifted power between Q and E to try to make his E a better source of damage they seriously messed up, because e is still the best max for Sion, and now people are just going Double ring start to fuel E spam.

Then you have the reduced q damage, W shield numbers, and detonation duration, and they managed to eliminate all but the most hard-line Junglers.
