Stormrazor VS Duskblade - Maths Time part I
For reference, this is the upcoming Stormrazor Item:
Builds from BF, Pickaxe and Dagger +65 AD, +25% AS Unique passive: Coming into combat, your first autoattack is a guaranteed Crit Unique passive: Gain 25% AS and 8% MS for 1.5 seconds on critical strike
Total cost: 3400 gold
Now, let's compare that to Duskblade:
Builds from Warhammer and Serrated Dirk +55 AD, +10% CdR, +18 Lethality Unique passive - Nightstalker: After being unseen for at least 1 second, deal 30-200 bonus damage on next attack Unique passive - Blackout
Total cost: 2900 gold
Now, let's compare a few situations. First part, for this post, let's go for either item as the first big item on your champion of choice.
Assassin, Domination/Sorcery with Sudden Impact and Eyeball Collection (7 eyeballs), level 8 (8 ArPen), Doran's Blade + 1st Item, 80 base AD, 22 bonus AD Targets with 50 and 80 Armor (mage w/o and w building Seeker's)
How much damage does the first hit do after proccing Sudden Impact?
Stormrazor (3400 gold) +65 AD, crits 334 physical damage, 235/194 after resistances
Duskblade + Longsword (3250 gold) +65 AD, +14 ArPen, +100 damage 267 physical damage, 209/169 after resistances.
So, about 25 more damage with Stormrazor, eh?
But wait. What if, as an assassin, you hit your Q for 240 + 1.2 bAD, too?
Stormrazor: 678.4 physical, 478/394 after resistances
DB + LS: 611.4 physical, 478/387 after resistances
Equal damage on the squishy mage, still 7 more damage to the tankier one.
But wait. What if, as an assassin, you hit your Q for 240 + 1.2 bAD and an E for 80 + 1.0 bAD for that one hit, both as physical damage, and proc Electrocute for 120 + 0.5 bAD to boot?
Stormrazor: 1008.9 physical, 710/589 a.r.
DB + LS: 941.9 physical, 736/596 a.r.
Now, Duskblade deals more damage in both cases.
So, Stormrazor rush gives you more damage, true - if you are a bad assassin that misses all his abilities. For the regular combo, buying Duskblade + another Longsword for a roughly equal value as Stormrazor gives you as much, if not more damage.
