New Taric top build idea.

I know he's not out yet, but while watching his Champion spotlight it occured to me... Manamune tank... item 3111 item 3042 item 3065 item 3025 item 3083 etc.... The idea here is to give him a decent mana pool to spam his spells, and combine it with the maximum usage of his passive, as it says that it swings twice it'll probably proc item 3042 and item 3025 . Edit: problems i can see but don't seem to bad : -you need to rush item 3004 -weak early, probably need tank runes What do you guys think?

I do like the idea of manamune on him, but I don't think it would be practical in a summoner's rift game.

However. In an ARAM game, I think you could make it work if your team needs the damage. Titanic Hydra might actually out-damage it (especially before fully stacking it), but the price difference might be worth it. That, along with the help with mana early on to spam your Q, W, and E (which will be very strong in ARAM), might make the build viable.

I think his "Top" build will be: item 3068 item 3025 item 3065 (Wow, never saw that coming, kappa) into items like item 3075 item 3026 item 3512 item 3742 item 3143. I don't think that Warmog's would really be that useful on him. He has plenty of healing in his kit and with masteries on top of spirit visage, and I think there are better items for him to have for combat.

In ARAM, I am very ready to try out a Taric build similar to the one you described if my team was pressed for damage. I think I still would opt out of Warmog's over other items and build it situationally as Sunfire would bolster Taric's damage much more; or if I wanted to build more defensively/supportively Face of the Mountain, Aegis, Randuin's and other items would take priority over Warmog's as well.

The ARAM build would likely start with a item 3070 item 3302 and item 1001 or item 1029. You would rush a Bami's Cinder and work toward IBG in an evenly distributed damage comp (enemy side) or you would get a Spectre's Cowl or Aegis against heavy magic damage and against an all AD comp you can pretty much just rush IBG immediately.

You would likely want to finish up Manamune as a 3rd or 4th item unless you are snowballing as the damage you would get from finishing Sunfire and IBG would initially be more than finishing Manamune early. The item is really only going to be good once it is fully stacked when you can proc it 2x in quick succession and keep doing that by cycling your abilities giving you good burst and sustained damage.

Anyway. I like it. I'll have to see how it plays. I don't think it would be worth it in Summoner's Rift, but it might be worth trying. I just think there are better builds for him in a Top lane scenario.

I think Titanic will be better that manamune in most builds. Gives you waveclear and makes you tankier. That being said, maybe a build that goes manamune,BC, dead man's, randuins, sv

I tried Manamune on him on the PBE several times and it feels pretty good. The issue I have with him in support is outside that dumb ultimate (Which I'm still REALLY against), he doesn't really offer the best on demand peel. Heal and shield are kind of useless late game outside the Bastion passive thing, and Dazzle is far too delayed to save your squishies from burst. Building him to accentuate his passive will probably be the way to go.

idk man

the build lacks some armor

I think i will build the new rocket belt on him for surprise heals/stuns/ults

Like the ult is aoe but only applies to allies who are in its radius so you can dash to safe someone same applies for the heal

And ofc front loading the stun then flash dash boom aoe stun + damage for strong engage

Obviously these items will be added tooitem 3025 item 3065

They just too good on him Extra healing and regen a bit of cdr and all the mr you need as well as a big chunk of hp And then iceborn for more cdr and the mana to back it up, a good chunk of armor seeing as he scales with that stat well. And the spellblade aoe slow and with these 3 items you have 40% cdr so you can apply it alot, in between stuns for alot of stickyness.

That would be my core build anyway

other items would include item 3068 for more pushing power and dueling power item 3075 if they get more then 1 aa user item 3742 Gotta go fast item 3143 Need to get very tanky quickly them crits are killing me item 3001 Need even more mr and damage

Obvious boot choice item 3047 Never has there been such an fabulous ninja

And then i can always get the meditate mastery for extra manaregen because he has high manacost, and for the rest probably tank masteries

I wouldn't get muramana. I'd get an ap item tho. ap health. one of these new ap items. maybe. to get 40% cdr.

item 3111 item 3065 item 3025 item 3068 item 3001 item 3083

the new abyssal is hard to not get on him. 10% cdr. and generally good to go in the middle of a fight and get all that magic pen for your team. or maybe rod of ages.

if they are ad heavy I'd pick up another armor item instead of warmogs. dead mans or something like that

ibg getting nerfed so going frozen heart might be a better option but who knows.

It's an interesting idea, though i think you'd sacrifice too much to rush manamune. You will end up having to rush a tear which provides a very minimal power boost and requires a long time to ramp up. It also means you won't be tanky nearly as fast as you should be.

Personally, I think a fun build would be IBG, Boots of swiftness / merc treads, Spirit Visage, sunfire cape, with the last two items being flex picks. Need some split push? Zzrot! Want more damage? Why not a rage blade so you can do some big damage once you land that stun? Need heavy MR? Go for a abysall or locket, etc.

My problem with the manamune idea is that you will end up with an excessive amount of mana late game, while having a weak early game. Too many costs for not enough pay off.
