So uh... can we revert the buff Lulu got?

Now before I get stoned to death for even daring to call a support overtuned, hear me out... http://champion.gg/statistics/#?sortBy=general.overallPosition&order=ascend&roleSort=Support

She's rocking near 20% pickrate with a near 53% winrate. That seems like it's a bit much, honestly. Second highest pickrate behind Thresh, who has about a 50% winrate. Following Lulu is Janna, who is at 14%. Statistics aren't everything, but it's really easy to see where things start to get out of hand with them.

Prior to her buff, which was THIS

Pix, Faerie Companion Base damage increased to 15 - 117 (based on level) from 9 - 105 (based on level)

Glitterlance Mana cost reduced to 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70 from 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80.

Lulu's stats were quite a bit lower, and more balanced, I'd say. The reason this buff came into play I estimate was from people maxing E and running OOM way too quickly, and thus not having enough mana to cast q. Most Lulu mains on my friend list who are experienced (and also, some above diamond too) have ALL stressed that they max W, and not E. So basically, you could do very well as lulu, all you needed was a bit of brain power and prior knowledge. This is why I'm calling out this buff as being unnecessary and more so a result of inexperience being unpunished, like how it was prior to this buff. As for her passive buff, it's literally just there to be there. There was no reason to increase her damage, in my opinion. The E max before the buff was punishing. Now it isn't, and people even in competitive play do it now because there's no downside to doing it. She'd basically run around being a Janna with more damage, CC, and about as much peel.

A simple way to tune her back to being balanced would be to revert to buff.

I'd rather see her being strong as a support than strong on mid lane

There shouldn't really be a downside for upgrading an ability

Uh, like no?

Going by your logic we should nerf Blitz since he's more picked and has better Win Ration than Lulu in Korea.

The problem was, and I believe they even said it themselves in the patch notes, was that Lulu was being played in mid (and before that top) more than support in pro play. They wanted to boost her support stats while scaling back on her offensive stats so she wouldn't be viable in other lanes as much. And the problem was that her E did too much. And E is what you should be maxing if you're in any lane other than bot lane

Edit: She's being seen in pro play a lot this past week so I expect they will nerf her anyways so all you need is patience.

I don't understand....why maxing a skill should be punished...... imo, Janna peels better than lulu, her shield has longer range, AP ratio. Her Q is a knockup but not a slow. Even though, lulu has her W which is good at counter engaging an assassin. But, it is overall Janna better than peeling. Although I may say lulu has a little bit advantage for 1-3 level if she goes TDL. But late game it should be pretty much the same. Both of them dish out no damage, tank no damage. Lulu should die easier than Janna too, she can't even peel nicely for herself. She is more a 2v1 situation champion.
