And that is you playing like an idiot. You don't just want to go balls to the walls ham, that's just asking to feed. You want to make sure your support is up for it, and take smart trades. Get level 2 quickly, then engage and fight while they're still level 1. You're almost guaranteed to start the snowball doing this. Before you try to fight, make sure your support is close enough to help you and make sure your support knows you want to fight. In the case of Lulu, the combination of Help, Pix!'s bonus on-hit damage for you and Whimsy's bonus attack and movement speed buffs for you can really help you trade. In the case of being against a Thresh, watch out for his hooks, because Thresh hooks reveal the target, even through stealth (I learned that one the hard way). Wait until after he uses and misses the hook to try to trade. Thresh is a far more aggressive support than Lulu, but if she chooses to use Whimsy to Polymorph the enemy Tristana rather than for the extra attack speed on you, and Thresh didn't land a hook on you, you should win that fight easily. When you use the bush to get into stealth, walk out of the bush, but stay near enough to it that you can immediately walk back into it to break vision after you start the trade, if you can while still being able to hit your opponent. Then, it's just a matter of kiting back into the bush. You break vision, which gives you a free extra auto before the enemy can stop you.
Twitch, as an ADC, is all about knowing when you can win a trade, then taking those smart trades to snowball. Like I said, play him as if you're playing an assassin. You wouldn't dive on an Ahri as Katarina while she still has her charm and ult up, would you? No. That's just asking to die. Taking cooldown-based trades and going for kills is how you win lane as Twitch, and he's the most snowbally ADC in the game. As such, his late game is a little bit weaker than most hyper-carries, and he doesn't scale up as well without a lead. Someone like a Jinx or Tristana will outscale him later on, but he should dump on them hard in the early game and win before they catch up.
For build, you want to do stuff that complements his snowbally style. Youmuu's Ghostblade into Runaan's Hurricane are what I recommend for most games, but you can get a BF Sword and then go into the Runaan's if you need to get to your late game faster, or to keep the lane out of your tower. It's also not a bad idea to pick up a Cull first back, if you can't afford anything else. Sure, it's less AD than a Long Sword, but the 3 life on hit will be so useful for you in a lane where you're behind because it's healing you for more than 3% lifesteal when you're still under 100 AD, and farming giving you extra gold will help you keep up with your opponent. If you got the BF Sword into Runaan's, after you'll probably finish BF into an Infinity Edge. This build isn't as good in the early-mid game as Youmuu's into Runaan's, but it's stronger late. After you finish your main 2 items, IE (if you don't already have it), BT, BoRK, Statikk Shiv, QSS, Sterak's, a Last Whisper item, Maw of Malmortius, GA, and sometimes even The Black Cleaver can be good items to go for. I usually go for some lifesteal or a Maw third item, and from there it's all what you need. Need more damage in teamfights? Get Statikk Shiv + IE.
Overall, early-mid game you play him like an assassin and late game you play him like a Kog'Maw with stealth and more range. It's also really good to learn how to kite using the attack move. This is something I'm still working on, but it can help a lot in teamfights especially. I've accidentally walked into the enemy team several times because I clicked on the ground rather than on my opponents. Attack move will stop that from happening. It'll move you until you're just barely in auto range of the closest target to the cursor and then attack them. The button is A by default.
Shameless plug, I just uploaded a video on my YouTube channel where I played Twitch and went 16/5. Here's the link: https://youtu.be/-RbNVpeYH_A
