You can't go by WR alone.

By WR logic vladimir should be one of the worst champions in the game..do you agree with that?

Maybe he's being banned by teams he's strongest against, and banned by teams he's OK against, to the point where he struggles?

48% is about as close to a dependable win rate that any champ should ever be attainable for when you factor in the error percentage of human hands, 50% -+2

And I'm ok with that for being a training wheels champ with a one-button wondertrash on Q.

people are irrational in this sense: they ban him out of the fear of him being the centerpiece of a funnel duo. even if these duos are very rare.

You shouldnt really look at a global winrate, yi is a very popular champion to pick. If you want to actually know a champion winrate go check its main players, not global winrate because a lot of people will jump onto broken champions even if they dont know how to play him properly:

For instace this guy with 79% winrate in challenger http://oce.op.gg/summoner/userName=DI+YI+JIANSHENG or this guy with 73% winrate http://euw.op.gg/summoner/userName=PSYCRAW

And thats why u have the ban rate

It's because Yi is one champ where you can directly affect his success. When you invade Yi early and hard and shut down his gold, he just can't survive farming/clearing/ganking well enough to stay in the game.

However.... if you don't.... and he gets to 2-3 items, his win rate SKYROCKETS, because of Conquerer + item 3124 item 1419 and possibly item 3508.

If he gets to those three items, he gets clear up to a 72% Win rate. If he fails to get there, he shutters and becomes irrelevant.

Most GOOD junglers know this and invade his jungle. Which is why he's 48% win rate.

The ban rate is due to his potential in solo queue where you don't know how your team is going to do versus him. Your team may give him a takedown Quadra and give him 3000 gold in one fight. Or they may kill him repeatedly and put him to 1/8. It's not worth the risk of leaving him open.

You don't want Yi in any game where it's going to last long enough to 3 or 4 item him.

https://lolalytics.com/ranked/worldwide/platinum/plus/champion/MasterYi/ Just look at this and see what his win rates are at 3 items. NONE of them are bad. His last sub 50% items are 2 items..... 3 items + range from 50.8-63.21% at 3 items, 61-69% at 4 items, and it isn't until 5 items that he falls off a cliff again (meaning game went too long and he wasn't able to shut it out, and people begin nuking him again before he can do damage)

I will keep banning him untill they fix his high attack speed. Cheers [katarina-love]

seriously? :D

he got less attack speed than many other attack speed based champions so I don't think attack speed is the issue

0.679 (+ 8% (+ 2% per level) ) highlander [Ultimate] - 80%

compared to olaf

0.694 (+ 2.7%)

Ragnarock - 1% AS per 1% missing health Vicious Strikes [Basic Ability] - up to 80% AS

If thats what you think....then ok.Thats why the champion has 37% ban rate lul

He also slaughters people in Bronze. If he gets 3 kills before 20 minutes he can blind carry a group of 4 total clowns. And again, we're the majority of the playerbase.
