The S3 guy went 0/7, said "open top" and then AFK'd in base because he lost to a Riven in lane after pushing up to the point where Voli couldn't gank him at all.

Realistically, I don't think he should've been in our game at all. An entire rank's difference is nothing to be laughed at, even in low elo. I don't really understand why this happened, either. Three ranks in one game of solo queue is like me tossing high school players, college-level players, and middle school players into the same basketball game.

I'm not saying we lost solely because of a silver, because the enemy team had silver players too, but this feels more like TFT than solo queue, where all teams are based on RNG.

The biggest issue is the vast disparity in the ranks; I hate getting carried, and I hate being the worst person on the team too. I like even matches where all my opponents and teammates are around the same skill level, instead of having a plat stomp one lane only to have a silver lose hard in the next.

Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes. Please everyone upvote this more. Every game is decided as soon as the queue pops. It’s sickening how little anything but your team being trash or being a whole elo up means. I’m in low elo meaning our queue pops in like a minute but I would GLADLY wait ten minutes to get into a game with everyone at the same winrate or round about same elo.

rank means nothing for matchmaking, or in his case with how few games he has, player skill. You can be iron 4 with challenger mmr if you so desire. His mmr is the only thing that matters.

But we dont know his mmr did we? he can be iron 4 with challenger mmr and he can be iron 4 with iron 4 mmr we dont know, we can only hope that MM is working. Did his performance look like high elo player destroying low elo players to you?

They never will, and guess why? Because it's a freakin' excuse they use to justify all the absurd things their flawed/rigged matchmaking does.

You can have a clear proof of that in Normals. Yes, Normals. Where Diamond people get matched with level 50ish (actual) newbies, and they say "but MMR in Normals is different", as if this justified the disgusting skill gap between those 2 guys matched together. It doesn't. Their system just doesn't work fine, it's not fair, and it's probably intended to be so.

I'm basically playing only when I have nothing else to do or when friends ask, and not Ranked anyway. Also, I don't buy anything anymore for the same reason. I still give them a chance that one day they will fire a bunch of people, and hire better one.

Finally, being aware that many (but not all) games aren't fair is nonetheless smarter than being an oblivious big mouth kid.

He has a really high win rate, so the game thinks he's far above where he should be. I typically look at it this way: If someone is near 50%, they are where they really are. 40% means they are dropping too fast/feeding/trolling, 60% means they are winning too quickly so the game elevates them to the point they can no longer win (unless they are a smurf, those are 70%+ in low ranks).
