It's about respect in a matchup and someone worthy of honor. Some people play with dignity and if you kill them they would say "well played" or just something nice.

They're the kind of person that doesn't flame/yell/show emotes when they die. Someone I would want to play with again, or against.

Example I saw in a game

I saw a toplaner come to toplane later into the game because of a bugsplat. It was a level 1 fiora against a level 6 renekton. Renekton said in all chat “Truce” And the two free farmed and didn’t let junglers come top lane until fio was like level 7. And they fought. Renekton won, Fiora asked for another truce and Renekton left lane to roam instead of continuously killing her.

They won the match but I wanted to honor him so bad.

Edit: this was a normal game don’t blow your top.

It was never promised, you're just making stuff up. if they did promise it (which they didn't), I would like to see a source. I would love to be able to honor opponents too, but they already said countless times that it's not coming back.

This is completely true. I think a lot more supports will get honours this was as well. The number of Morgana that blacshield their adc to counter my malz ult and get zero recognition while their adc gets a couple of kills from it that wins them the game and gets then all... I wanna honour that Morg so bad even if she did fuck me over lol
