I Don't Think Ezreal is Being Nerfed the Right Way

Currently, on the PBE, here are his nerfs:

  • Q: Ap ratio: 30% --> 20%
  • W: deals 50% damage to structures (from 100%)
  • W: Ap ratio: 70/75/80/85/90% --> 55/60/65/70/75%

I mean, these will definitely nerf Ezreal. However:

  1. The W nerf to structures makes sense, cause maybe it is true that it's doing too much damage to towers later in the game. However, at 50%, it's basically going to be doing negligeable damage to towers (especially early/mid-game), on top of the ratio nerf.
  2. It feels bad to nerf his two most fair abilities (especially his w).

Instead of the Q and W nerfs, I think they should nerf: 1) His E damage at later stages: It auto procs W, making his late game more reliable since his rework. The damage from the E itself should be nerfed instead of the W because the W needs to be landed first. 2) His ulti damage to champions at later stages: Right now, it's sometimes doing 50%+ of a squishy's health with his double tear build in the late game (it has no more damage falloff to champions since his buffs, and his R is AoE, has Global range and is low CD for an ulti, so it's probably too much). It's scaling damage should be nerfed, while uping the damage % it does to minions so that that part stays equal to what it is right now. Nerfing that would be a much better idea imo than his W that has more counterplay.

Flashy, high-damage, mobile champions are all that Riot wants. In every position, this is what they want. It is horrible but that is the way it is. Mind, I love Ezreal. But this mentality to get people to watch eSports is horrible for the game and I really, really wish it would go away.
