So the new Ashe will build PD over SS, correct?
Or perhaps even both.
Or perhaps even both.
Honestly, I build PD on just about every ADC lol.
no she will build ss over pd and then she will build runaans and the storm shall begin
she will have kennen as her secondary passive
AS far as I've understood SS will still crit on frost shotted targets.
So you build it, and a sheen item, and then volley them first.
I feel like PD is better but I have no idea
any carry that has a brain and doesn't want to rely on a cheesy midgame-all-in should go for PD instead of SS, it offers so much more dps for only a bit more gold. If you look at champion.gg, you see that ashe currently has a ~2% higher winrate if she gets PD rather than SS, which is true for all carrys that don't go trinity exept lucian.

depends if you want mobility or damage.
champs like kog or twitch are built around basically sitting in place and deal a ridiculous amount of damage. they rely on their team keeping enemies off them, so they can auto attack without moving too much. for these champions, pd is better than shiv. it packs more damage.
however, if you want to kite and poke, shiv is better than pd. one reason why yasuo builds it.
Yasuo from my understanding built it more for the fact he can crit the passive almost every time.
Then how come Yi and Tryn prefer it over PD as well?
They try to remove a champion from the fight quickly. They can't survive that long (outside of Trynd's ultimate) in a full on teamfight because they are so squishy. SS gives more burst and so helps them more.
PD is always better than Shiv, unless your team lacks wave clear. You only get Shiv if you have to back and you don't have enough gold for PD.
i wonder. how will stattic shiv work out with the 5 attacks on her q.
will she get a shiv proc every second auto attack (since she fires 5 arrows), or will she still build 10 stacks per auto? i know borks passive applies only once per volley, but hurricane applies twice. so there is inconsistency.
and what if you stack hurricane with stattic shiv. will the hurricane shots stack the shiv passive? this would still make shiv much more powerful than pd, if the 2 items are combined. since she would build up to 50 stacks per volley.
this could be hell of an aoe build.
only the first of the 5 procs on-hit and thus gives 10 stats(same for the associate runaan's bolts, only the first of the 5per target procs on hit while suffering from the same damage mod as her 5 'flurry' hits) And no, it isn't inconsistent, as Runaans is an on-attack while stattick is a on-hit.
If you get runaans hurricane, each little bolt that her new passive fires fires its own 2 runaans passives.

i dont know who it was, but the rioter in charge of her rework said that hurricane procs twice per volley. meaning she shoots up to 4 hurricane bolts per volley.
meaning since the hurricane bolts proc on-hit effects themselves, she would build 50 stattic shiv stacks per volley. (10 for the initial auto attack, and 10 for each of the 4 volleys). i miscounted previously. it wouldnt be 60 stacks, but 50. still pretty crazy since it would be enough to get a proc on every second volley.
at least if she has enough targets in range to get 4 hurricane bolts on each volley.
UNIQUE Passive: When basic attacking, bolts are fired at up to 2 enemies near the target, each dealing 10 (+50% of Attack Damage) physical damage. These bolts apply on-hit effects
this interaction might make shiv more powerful than pd.
shiv doesn't stack off runaan bolts, but the bolts do apply botrk :) and unless the changed it since I last tested her she does shoot out 10 bolts per auto
I go shiv on all ADC's sorry but the passive is just to good to pass up on.
