Tryndamere

I know this will probably get ignored or endlessly downvoted, but can we take a look at Tryndamere? I really love this champ, I like his mechanics and his ability to chickenshit other champs, especially the chickenshit part. But let's face it, Tryndamere, who has never been in a hot spot, is currently suffering. There seems to be buffs and remakes going around in abundance, new items for tanks, apc's and adc alike.

Then we have Tryndamere who hasn't been touched since his ult got nerfed from 7 to 5 seconds in a game where mobiltiy and cc has gone from common to abundant. Truth is, while oppressive to people who don't know how to deal with him, he has never been contested, and he recieved nada for that huge nerf.

Currently the only viable strategy when playing Tryndamere is to beat ur lane and splitpush, fail at that and you are rendered more useless than a 0 kill 0 cs Riven at 15 minutes. So can we look into how we can give him something to get him going, because currently he is god awful.

They probably made Yasuo to solve the problem of the melee ADC. Trynda is too oppressive when ahead. Even now people manage to feed him and can't deal with him. If he is buffed to be viable in the LCS, he would be unbearable for solo Q.

I agree he's obnoxious to deal with when ahead. But alot of champions are, most of them don't suffer the same issues.

I don't request that he's buffed to LCS viability, god knows, despite a champion pool of 130, you will only see about 30 in LCS so it's hardly only Tryndamere left out, I just want him to be usefull, maybe not having to rely on RnG God to actually win his lane. Idk, something?

i know trynda needs a huge buffs but noobs think that lee sin or thresh are balanced and trynda op

Tryndamere is broken, gimped, and toxic. Not overpowered or underpowered.

Lee Sin is overpowered with the ability to win games just within 15 minutes.

Thresh is overloaded since you can go most roles with him and build AD, AP, or Tank and even if you're behind you're still relevant and stong.

I gotta admit that Tryndamere is kinda hard to play since he doesn't really have any burst and relies on his AAs to kill anybody and I often find myself getting a full CC rotation from THE ENTIRE ENEMY TEAM whenever I play him so I usually take Cleanse get swift boots...and Zephyr so I can stick to anybody and ignore CC just to maaaybe get one kill and die

Cleanse aint enough. Think Kalista or Bitz's hook-knockup combo. Cleanse/QSS stops CC on you. But as a melee carry, you NEED a lock down yourself. Look at riv, renekton, heck even shen. All these top laners have a lockdown than can be used as a pseudo escape (stun and run, taunt dash, etc.) as well.

This is just my personal opinion but I don't know how Tryndamere can be considered even remotely as toxic as Teemo, Tryndamere actually has to be in your face to do anything to you, he has no lockdowns and his only mobility spells cooldown is highly circumstancial (tied to his ability to crit).

It's not like he can get any free kills for just planting shrooms in random locations from people that are low and unlucky enough to step on them or force half a team to go oracles just and neglect their warding ability just to deal with one champ.

(That being said I really don't have anything against Teemo and don't think he deserves to be unviable, though I understand why people can't stand him).

I find it justifiable that Tryndamere can kill a carry in a few autos, after all, he lacks all the tools to actually keep anyone standing and fighting with him, his mocking shout is extremely circumstancial and quite a soft cc even if u do hit it, unlike say: Riven, who just knocks you up, stuns you on demand then unloads the rest of her kit on you with near 0 counterplay.

Vayne can kill tanks in a few autos, why is it so horrible that Tryndamere is capable killing carries in the same fashion? Given he doesn't get shut down...

Perhaps he does need a rework.

RIOT IF YOU CAN HEAR ME, PLEASE READ THIS MAN'S COMMENTS AND POST. MINE AS WELL. I BELIEVE WE ARE SPEAKING FOR A WHOLE LOT OF LEGITIMATE TRYN MAINS WHO ARE SUFFERING IN SILENCE. ESPECIALLY WHEN PEOPLE DON'T THINK BENEATH THE SURFACE AND SLANDER HIM AS OP WHEN HE IS UNDERPOWERD AF RIGHT NOW. ESPECIALLY IN HIGHER ELO/HIGHER QUALITY (BETTER OPPONENTS) GAMES.

even though its 7 months ago, its still relevant.

I agree. But nobody cares about Trynd so what do you do, he has never been and will never be meta. On the upside, he has decent win%, but I'm assuming that's because he only get played as a hard counter and is somewhat successfull in sub gold elo.

HOLY SHIT, SPOKE MY MIND. RIOT, PLEASE READ THIS.

I just wrote a whole essay on this on gameplay boards last night. Then I come across this post.

Tryndamere needs a rework. His kit is too toxic and frustrating to play against to ever exist as a legitimate pick over other champions. I find a lot of it due to his entire kit combined and also the fact that Tryndamere can put virtually no effort into playing the champion, while you have to put so much effort into not messing up in lane.

Tryndamere's entire game like most broken champions in his case is decided by early game. If Tryndamere gets ahead early game he can just faceroll2win since he'll kill ADCs in just a few auto attacks at the most, and he'll actually be able to teamfight since unless he is fed he just dies instantly in a teamfight. If Tryndamere gets behind he'll splitpush the entire game through. The frustrating part is that Tryndamere of regardless of how far behind you are, can still 1v1 most champions and if he ever finds he is losing the duel he can engage with his slows, dash, and ult or heal and simply return to splitpushing moments later.

Tryndamere's kit is very poorly designed and I don't think he can ever be viable similar to Teemo. Teemo doesn't really have any strengths that would make you pick him over most champions, Riot has kept him in a mediocre state for so long simply due to Teemo making the game unfun. Riot would of most likely reworked Teemo, though his fanbase is too large and would probably go insane. Instead they kept him at a mediocre state so he wouldn't necessarily be a popular pick but he would at least be able to be somewhat relevant. Teemo has only one two ability or so and the rest of his kit has plenty of counterplay or just isn't strong at all. Though I'm not quite sure why Tryndamere hasn't been reworked, Tryndamere is the same. His Ultimate is probably his only actual strong abilities and while his passive seems strong, there is plenty of counterplay to it while Teemo's Blind is probably his only strong ability and while his Shrooms seem strong they have plenty of counterplay to them.

I agree with the second part, but it is quite the contrary for tryn in the first 2 paragraphs of your comment. Main him for awhile and climb in games with him for abit. You would see what I mean. Its just this annoying ceiling of usefulness you just can't outplay through with skill. Believe me when I say this, Tryn takes skill. Easy to pick up, hard to master. I cringe when noobs who think he's OP and a no brainer play him and do stupid shit like going in without thinking or spam heal q or misult etc.
