I truly wish that they made an option for this. I just want to Support. I can wait the 2 or 3 extra minutes in order to be guaranteed Support rather than sometimes having to fill roles that I don't like playing.

Nah, I sometimes get Jungle. Which also happens to be my worst role.

The number of Support players goes up as elo goes up. I'm not sure what rank you are though.

I wish I'd get support 100%, because of how little people wanted to support in the first place. But noooo.

You're an inspiration to us all. Seriously tho, when you get support, ask any decent member of your team if they want to duo next game, then pick support and whatever they want, you should be pretty set that way. (I've seen weirdness where both get secondaries, but that SHOULD be really rare if support is your primary)

This how I feel about Top lane, I only want Top, I want my 1v1 where I am confident I will beat 90% of players at my level as long as I keep vision down to prevent ganks. But NOPE Here you go, have mid aka gank central.

This sounds fine, but remember: you're not just raising your queue times by doing this, you're raising everyone else's queue times, too. While I have no strong opinion on the idea, queue times for high MMR are bad enough as is.

I mean, alot of people just dodge at the very last second if they dont get their role, trollingin champ select in hopes of baiting someone else into doing it. Thats about 3 minutes of 9 peoples times every time it happens, and lets face it, we all know it happens.

Especially that jackass who picks Fill, gets support, and then picks Gangplank support because top lane wont swap.

I've had some people complain that they didn't get the role they wanted, but other than that, the only problems I've had with new champ select was someone trying to ban Jhin from me when he first came out.

Jungle has pretty quick queue times in NA, second to support imo.

support > jungle > top > bot > mid at my mmr.

It actually varies quite a bit based on your elo. Jungle, top, and bot all kinda juggle around based on what division you are in. When you get to pretty high elo, alot of people want bot, and no one wants top, but in lower elos people just straight up dont want to jungle and just want to top and bot. Its odd that mid and support are so consistent while the others just kinda bounce around.

C9 Sneaky has to learn to mid just to satisfy your personal philosophy on climbing?

CLG Aphromoo has to learn that Gangplank one trick for his top lane offroll just in case he doesnt get support, even though he has likely more support games than you have games played period?

And IMT Reignover better learn ADC because how dare the best jungler in the entire region try to get away with just one role? Better take that Kindred bot lane, because some random guy on the internet says your trash for maining a role at a professional level.

Yes.

A player who can only play a single role really well isn't as good as one who can play more than one really well. Why should they be the same tier?

You're not very good at reading, are you? How did you read my post and come to the conclusion that I was claiming to be better than professional players? Were you assuming that I was claiming that I could play more than one role really well? No, that was not the case, no one in my elo can play any role really well. Work on your reading comprehension son. Take a few classes or something.

I am pretty sure that Dyrus is better at his worst role than I am at my best.

But if Dyrus is challenger level as a top laner but only diamond as any other role (this isn't actually the case by the way, he's a competent jungler by challenger standards IIRC) then he's not on the same level as a player who is challenger level in more than one role.

I am at the least basicly proficient at all roles except mid, I carried myself to gold supporting/jungling in season 4, I carried myself to gold in season 5 playing adc (sadly I tilted back down to silver after that) and this season I will carry myself to plat playing jungle/top. So essentially the only role I don't at all feel confident playing is mid. Doesn't change the fact that I just don't like laning and wouldn't if I didn't have to.

Uh, this makes 0 sense to me. I have the most fun playing ranked, normals are for practice. But if I excell at and enjoy one role the most, why shouldn't I be able to exclusively main it it ranked?

You can't seriously be meaning nb3 is a skillless player when he's a challenger class jungler becasue he's lackluster at other roles? I don't think having a secondary has anything to do about recognizing a players skill, it's about Q times, that's why, those of us willing to wait longer for our primary role should have the option to do so.

Jungle main here, just put mid as your secondary since it's the most popular role, you'll get jungle like 99% of the time. And if you do get mid oh well, play a passive mid with decent cc and you can just sit wayyyyy behind your minions and last hit like a bitch then roam to your heart's content, it works for me. And even with really bad cs you'll probably still be ahead of the jungler. Lol

Yeah it has happened several times that I have taken support primary and get some other lane like jungler instead, then I would talk to the jungler on my team and he would say that he took support secondary while I took it primary! It's fucking stupid if you ask me
