Offline mode PLEASE!!!

It's a bad idea. Don't get me wrong, i would like an Offline mode. But Offline modes are a lot more vulnerables to Hacking and being manipulated. So Hacker only need to penetrate Offline mode and then Penetrate the real server easely.

On top of that above, it would also require much more space on your SSD or HDD.

That's not how this game works... You log in to get your account data from the servers, the bots are being run server-side.

"But we can save account data on client-side" and literally a day later people have everything unlocked and are rank #1 challenger.

"But CS does it and it works fine" CS bot games are unranked and each game has 0 affect on your account, in League you get IP and champion mastery progression.

So no, it's not possible.

No. The amount of effort they'd have to put in would be insane to do that, even if I thought it would be a good idea.

I'd rather them focus that effort elsewhere, such as a new engine.

Yes, offline mode does pose a huge risk for potential hacks, as pointed out, but there is a really easy way to mitigate that. And the offline cache files could be an optional install and, let's face it, there are only three maps (tops) in LoL right now. Riot could limit offline to one or two modes, maybe even only rift games. I don't think local install would be any larger, likely smaller, than any other full fledged PC game.

Here's how I envision it working, and would wish it worked:

• You can choose to install LoL with "offline mode": this installs what's needed to play rift against bots of varying difficulty.
• In an offline game, you get XP against bots as you would online: depending on your skill and bot skill.
• There is a DAILY/WEEKLY limit to XP gained in offline mode. No matter how much you hack the local game, the server simply won't allow your XP to increase by more than that amount. Let's use the current bot XP limits as a guide. (I'd like to see it lower to encourage players to go online.)
• When you log into online mode, your XP gains are updated.
• Store purchases (upgrades/characters/runes etc) can only happen when online.

Simple, covers the bases. All most of us want to do is get a quick round or two in places that may not have internet or firewalled connections.
