What if your first mastery point went on Keystones instead of your 18th.
Still only able to choose one, but they were at the top instead of the bottom.
Still only able to choose one, but they were at the top instead of the bottom.
it dont make much of a difference
You're kidding right? 200-300 damage is the difference between a kill or live.
how do you get more damage ?
Thunderlord's Decree comes to mind. The damage it provides can be the difference between dealing a killing blow, and receiving one.
but having keystones 1st or last dont change the damage output
I think OP meant that keystones be unlocked at level 1, so that newcomers aren't as big of a disadvantage. Is this right?
who knows what he meant... there is no context to his statement
That's true, sorry for being vague.
Yeah for newcomers... but also as Dark says, it would allow for more diversity with masteries becuase you aren't locked into a tree.
but to get lets say deathfire touch... with 1 point in the 1st tree then you put 11 in the next tree and 18 in the last one dont make alot of sense
plus the the new comer thing is most likey vs other low level players who dont have runes nor a full mastery tree to have a key stone...
i get what you are wanting to do... but it dont fix or help anything just make things have another variable /different variable riot now has to try to balance around
and we all know riot dont balance the game around new players... they balanced the game around plat and higher /competitive play
What is there to balance around, it just means if you want DFT and Intelligence you can.
They said they wanted to rework the tree because the old one was cookie cutter...
Its exactly the same here.
At least with keystones being first you can safely allocate points into all 3 without having to worry about missing out on keystone eligibility.
10/10/10 would be a viable allocation, not that you would want to.. but you could.
really? you allow people to be able to have alot more combinations of masteries and dont see how that can effect a champs stats and power levels? and combine it with build paths etc it completely changes alot ... in that aspect...
you are truly thinking this through...
I dont think I understand what the difference you mean would be, besides just a graphical change.
No OP was talking about how you can get your Keystone on your secondary tree instead of your main tree. Since the way it is now, if you wanted Fervor/Bloodlust, you would have to go 18/x/x to get it but what if you didn't want the spend that much points to get that mastery tree.
This change would allow you to go something like 18/12/0 if you wanted to and still get Thunderlord's which actually would make things better. It would allow you to get the later masteries of a tree without being forced into one of the 3 keystones in that tree, which I feel would be an improvement...I would like to get the 7% Armor/Magic pen from the Ferocity on my other mastery pages but they don't syngergize with the keystones of Ferocity as much.
