I've never really played him in a lane until recently, he was my go to jungler in S3/S4, but on a kind of whim I decided to play him in a lane. He's super fun to play, but if he's ahead, Jesus their back line's not going to have fun. Carried a few 4v5's, granted they're just normals but I just have no interest in playing ranked right now, and he seems to be pretty decent in the current Meta. Worth giving a shot if no one's played it before.

Aboylova922 votesNot sure I'd agree with that. With his stealth he can engage no problem, and Ghost Blade lets him get to the back line. Plus with items like the new BC, it makes you tankier than before with increased chase potential. You also have his passive that makes him tanky already.
But even taking that away, there's a challenger Wukong main who seems to do perfectly fine playing Wukong that way. I mean he has absolutely insane AD ratios so why not take advantage of that?
The Loveless2 votesWu's passive helps him be a lil tanky. Build all BF sword items and a cleaver/heavy def item. He can kill people before they kill him and win teamfights. Just don't do anything silly like focus supports and tanks first.
Champion Skin1 votesDepends if you have an initiatior and Wukong follow up with his E + Q into R he could potentially melt the entire enemy team before he goes down However then the enemy team would have to group up for this to work (or just have the enemy team be silly and focus the eventual other melee champions who actually are building tanky)
Titanium705 votesWell it´s easy: If you get a huge Lead early on, when you should go Full AD, you´re able to use this advantage, build DMG and end the Game quickly by stomping guys! But if you reallize that the Game will be longer you have to change your role from some kind of carry to Tank Bruiser, building more AD wont help you than. Just like Pantheon. ^^

TheProfezzor1 votesI main wukong jungle and will usually build him ad. He can carry pretty easily as long as your team isn't complete trash. His ganks are usually guaranteed kills. People always tell me to build tank, it's pretty annoying. I only do so if our team is doing well and don't need me to carry.

Honestly the only damage items you need are Ravenous and Cleaver. After you rush those you should just build full tank. This is even better with the changes to Cleaver. I almost always get Ravenous before Cleaver unless you are being hardcore stomped by a full tank laner like Renekton or Garen.
Early you want damage so you can actually trade with most other Tops, and late you want Tankiness so you can use your R on more than one person.

XinZhao2WinNhao1 votesfull ad wukong can stealth to the back of the enemy team from the jungle and delete the carry and then ult, knock the rest of them up and then leave provided your team backs you up. then you can come back to fight after their carry is gone
also, if you have another initiator, you shouldn't use your r to initiate. you should use your r as an AOE cleanup after most are dead and the rest is low health
