How does gangplank lose his best build path (crit)

and still is one of the best champions in both pro play and lower levels of play. HOW? can anyone at Riot HQ answer this million dollar question? hes been nerfed about 5 times already since his release. and hes still probably one of the top 3 champions in this game that excel at closing out a game.

gangplank on the large scale suffers from the same issues azir has but hes a bit easier to play and easier to be effective due to global presence and even more range.

Because GP is a champ that doesn't use 100% crit chance. Most champs with crit chance want to hit 100% for max consistent damage, but GP wants to through out barrels and hope for a random crit. The change to trinity just means an early nerf for him but late game it has little impact on his damage output.

Though I have noticed that building zero crit makes him fall off hard.

Sucks since I kinda want to do no crit bruiser but don't really do well as a bruiser with it.

Yeah with GP you basically need an inf edge. Any additional crit just reduces the number of attempts it takes to chunk the enemy team enough to go in.
