With all this talk about Support Singed and Support MF...

I really hope that folks don't throw the tomato at all things off-meta.

As a person who uses Poppy/Rumble Support and on the occasion Shaco mid or Talon in the top lane (yes Talon top would technically be considered off-meta), hearing so much flak about these two supports in particular make me worried that everyone is going to associate off-meta is fail and loss.

To help in showing that off-meta doesn't always mean insta-troll, would some of you like to post some of your favorite (and preferably successful) off-meta picks?

For me my favorites are Mid Illaoi and Poppy/Rumble Support.

How on earth do you guys dont get what the rioter said ffs. Its not about the off-meta pick but his foking attitude when doing his job.

Support MF got played in worlds, so every bronze V jumped on the freelo bandwagon and fed horribly for a few weeks.

Support singed is some new thing from a troll streamer who got banned, their fans are mad about it, so they are playing support smite singed and trolling, to protest.

I fully support support garen.

Well I play Taliyah support if I don't get my midlane. I get those comments "Play a real support" or "f*** off" in every 2nd game.

That means you are not starting off with the intent of supporting as Taliyah, you just play Taliyah support because you didn't get Mid. You are literally the definition of a troll and it's cute you're trying to hide with all the other people actually trying to support with unpopular champs for the role.

And 'if I don't get my mid lane is referring to the latter case?

Taliyah support isn't bad, either. You have an AoE displacement, a slow field, and a huge wall to turn teamfights. You also have decent poke in lane and the ability to scale pretty well with some AP, exactly like Lux or Annie or Zyra support.

In what universe is that trolling at all?

As long as you don't have a toxic behaviour (which is waht got the guy banned from what I understand), they can't really do much to you, even if they were telling you not to pick it but you still got it, as long as you actually did your job, no amount of reports should be enough to ban you. Obviously first picking a champ in ranked is considere trolling, so only play things you are accustomed to.
