why is everyone so okay with the distance Zed can swap at?

Because for any other non-extreme jump [pantheon ult, TF ult, etc], that champion can be followed up on with another non-ult jump.

Zed just friggin' disappears. Aside from his legit double swap, he can practically swap positions with a shadow that isn't even on the screen. And then he still has another swap left!

I'm not saying Zed is "the op," but there's a lot of consensus that he is very strong.. The burst power from his spells, juggled with auto-attacks is too much damage for basically anyone to survive. Maybe that's fine, but then he shouldn't also have an impenetrable escape, that only TF can follow. Clearly Zed wants killing power, so what's he also doing with the best escape in the game--which also has no casting _or _movement time. Just remove the "yellow" zone he can jump in, and he still might have a longer distance non-ult jump than anyone, but it would then be a jump that would not completely remove him from the engagement in one jump.

Zed's W swap will put you from just outside the river bush, to the middle of mid lane. Why? No one else gets to move that far--instantly, with no cast time. Why is this so okay with him??

I can understand not wanting to hit Zed's power. But what about all the rest of his stuff? The only reason Zed isn't getting hit by nerfs and redesigns, is that everyone's too afraid of Yasuo, and just want someone who can fight everyone. But Zed has to pay something for that power.

No body else can move like that. You don't get to be the most powerful, and then also get to have broken movement. Zed's been around for too long to still be set up like this.

his max swap distance will get him from river brush to the middle of mid lane but the distance the shadow flies when you use your w isn't the max range plus he is an assassin just cc him! or do what i do and be ready to fling your skillshots at his shadow and wtf do you mean best escape in the game? kassadin has the same thing only except it does damage too

While I agree with the CC comment, he does have an insanely reliable escape. The distance he can dash back to is obnoxious, especially for it to be insta-cast. I get that he's an assassin, but c'mon. Even Kassadin is easy to follow-up on with the right team. Zed can ult you (and naturally you try to drag him back to tower), but by the time he's gotten his kill or think the ult will finish you, he's gone without taking any tower damage.

Thus, I agree. Zed is powerful, and his escape makes him very difficult to kill.

and zed's w actually does have a travel time but instead of the travel time being the amount of time it takes zed to get there, it is the amount of time it takes the shadow to fly zed's shadow does the travel time for him and then he can instantly switch after

Because Zed's ultimate was balanced around the fact that he would create a shadow clone behind his target, and he could escape with W.

When Riot changed that, he needed a reliable way to get out since now he needs his W to do that kind of damage.

You can CC him, burst him or wait for him to slip out with his R return.

That's why we're okay with it.

Cuz he never does anything anyway

He's like an autistic child, I let him bounce around wherever he pleases.

Why do you think zed is the "most powerful"? He's really nothing special right now. He does good damage yes, but his mobility is telegraphed. If you see a shadow somewhere, he will probably use it. You know where to aim. If you're complaining that he can juke the fuck out of you in a 1v1, you'd be correct. That's the point. Yes he can instant swap a couple times. And yes, there is another champion that can do that (LeBlanc).

His mobility is reliant on a long CD W and an ult. Compare that to someone like Kassadin, Katarina, Riven.

So yes, when he throws his shadow out to the middle of mid lane as you chase him and he runs to the bush, you can bet he will be going back to that shadow. Oh no, you couldn't catch him by running straight at him. Whoop de doo.

Zed is balanced and his shadows are the only reason he isn't weak as shit. They are required to pull off the plays he needs to make to be effective. They tried nerfing his ult shadow swap and it drastically hurt so they had to partly revert it.

So sure, Zed may have lots of killing power and situational mobility, but at the end of the day, anyone can take exhaust, build zhonyas/QSS, pick tahm kench, Kayle, Lissandra, or many other champions that excel at shutting assassins down.
