Would an anti-stunlock item be fair

I'm wondering, would it be fair to add an item to the game that makes you immune to all CC for a second or two after you've gotten 1 form of CC on you. Right now it feels like there is little counterplay to when you are getting hit by several forms of CC from several champions. For instance if you get CCed, you'll get a 1-2 second shield that blocks the CC aspect of spells and attacks. It'd be visible so the other team would know to hold on to their other CC skills for just a tad bit of time.

here's the thing,

first of all cc does not have much inherent counterplay, building is not good counterplay and by some standards is not counterplay at all.

This item would not solve the problem and would also make the problem worse

There are enough tenacity buffs in the game and things that remove cc that you shouldn't be having a huge problem unless you're doing something very wrong or they are doing something very right, either way a single non-tank wont be chainstunning you too often if ever and if two are focusing you then they have earned their ability to hold you down, adapt

CC has the same inherent counterplay as all other effects in the game:

there's a projectile or an AOE that carries it, and you need to avoid those.

Should there be additional counter-play? why?

What does additional counterplay means? We've already used the "learn to dodge" counter-play, so we assume you got hit:

It means either you have something you can do to preempt the CC (spell shield, immunity?) or some way to "opt out" of being CCed (oranges).

Should I, as an ADC player, have access to the same kind of counter-play with respect to damage? with respect to death? should I be able to "nope" out of damage and death after having ate the skillshots carrying them?

projectiles have counterplay, cc does not

there is no interaction once you are cc'd, you just stfu and take it.

More counterplay is always good. ALWAYS.

But then you have to understand what more counterplay actually means.

Too much counterplay to the counter play to the counterplay can also be referred to as simply being interactive

it means you can realistically do something meaningful after you get cc locked other than basically sitting out of the game until its over or you respawn. It means that you don't take a break from playing, you instead counterplay after you get CC'd.

It isn't an absolute necessity to have more counterplay, but it is ALWAYS good to have more counterplay

The same "kind" of counterplay != more counterplay

just because something doesn't have any counterplay doesn't mean that the worst possible example you can think of so that you can fluff up your argument needs to have the same extremes as some vague thing you are alluding to purely for the sake of being difficult.

more counterplay is "always" good, but there is no counterplay to cc in this game. In some fighting games, you can press a button combination to respond to cc. That is counterplay. In others you can at least minimize the damage while cc'd by doing something, that's counterplay. More counterplay is better. An elaborate system of counterplay is just another way of saying "interactive" or "interactive threat" In league when you are cc'd you're just cc'd. Its just designed to fuck you. End of story. A stun is a stun is a stun. There's no interaction to be had there.

Without much counterplay you can balance a game but the design will be ugly and as the game expands it will become a bigger mess.

so something like;

Mickaels Crucible;

UNIQUE: Instantly removes all Stun icon stuns, Root icon roots, Taunt icon taunts, Fear icon fears, Silence icon silences and Slow icon slows on an allied champion, as well as granting 2 seconds of slow immunity. Successfully cleansing an effect will also grant the target 40% movement speed for 2 seconds (120 second cooldown) (750 range).

or

and didn't they change banshee's veil to a spell absorption active?

already in the game and don't forget mere treads and mercurials (qss)......

i honestly think we have enough items for stun removal and shielding.
