Once you're level 20, you will see how awful essences are

Currently it takes about 20+ games to level up once. Just... ONCE. In 20 games you can gain a lot of LP but now you don't gain anything but EXP. So imagine wanting to buy a new champion that's around 4800+ essence, you will have to play over 50 games in order to reach that goal.

WHY?

Because all your essence rewards comes from the stupid leveling process. It's so stupid that just by playing 20+ games to level up, you are only earning 600-700 essence. 600-700?!?!?! FOR PLAYING 20+ GAMES.

Please Riot, give us essences from games. And LEGIT rewards like the old system.

I think you are right in a way, I think the new system is better for farming champions but the old system definately had a lot more 'choice'.

For example, you gain BE now and wait to get the champion shard so u can get a 'discount' on the champion by unlocking it through the shard (and therefore save on the total BE Cost) but in the old system u could just play to earn LP and get champions that you actually want (no one wants nunu). Ya, old system was better 100%.

I had to play a total of 14+ hours straight to get one single 6300 champion from level 1 to 11. After that, I realized that now the process of getting more champions have become a hassle because the essence gain are so little that I'm only able to achieve 450 - 1350 essence champion.

literally has killed the game for me. i dont see a point in playing anymore. i was already a level 30 with about 20 champs (most cheap outside of like 4 or 5). now i cant even unlock champs i like playing. also im not even getting blue essence from opening their stupid loot box. just drops 2 champ shards

Unless you don't have that champion. You keep him for a later discount. So it sets you back. And then you have to wait for another drop. And it's 2 90 champs. And then you're sad because you have to make a choice and no matter what you choose you lose something.
In old system that choice didn't exist. You gained IP period.

I think the worst part of it all is that it means the more you level, the slower the rewards become.

If anything the rewards should be increasing for dedicated players who are looking to purchase more complex (and usually more expensive) champs they level up.
