range damage debuff in aram a bit much

15% nerf to everyone who does damage outside of 900 units is overkill. It really should be addressed on a perchampion basis because many champs who arent necessarily doing well in aram just got nerfed no no reason.

Honestly they went WAY too hard with these ARAM changes. Bans were already enough to ensure that you had a legitimate way of not having to play against the same 10-20 champions every game. If you go against a super OP champ then you probably banned poorly. Not only that but basically every single OP champ got substantially nerfed anyway and then on top of that, poke champs deal less damage anyway. Any one of these things would have gone a long way to make ARAM more balanced, but all 3 is just over kill.

They do need to tweak the nerfing, but since this is their first real attempt at balancing ARAM, it was bound to happen. If they dial it in, it could make for much better gameplay. Get rid of the bans though. If they balance things out, you shouldnt need the bans.

I agree, there's no reason to have this long range poke blanket nerf if they're already planning to startin balancing champs on a case by case basis already

I do agree that in combination with the anti poke thing, the new items, and the multiple nerfs to many of the best ranged poke champions, it feels really hard to play a ranged champ in ARAM now. :/ Like I'm finding that melee champions are flatly too good now. And I honestly hate that they brought back those stupid fucking boots that let you run through walls. 0 counterplay to them; at least if you're getting flanked in summoner's rift, you can prevent it by warding, by CC'ing the target, by kiting in the opposite direction... but the ARAM map is just one lane and the boots make them untargetable to CC. You can't move away far enough to get away from them.

I think it's fine.

Now cancer like Xerath, Lux, Jayce, Kai'Sa, Jinx, Jhin etc cannot sit back and poke you down as easily.

A lot of the ideas for this version of ARAM are horrible. The main ones I like are the minion changes.

Like, Teemo's shrooms are already completely worthless with Oracle's, and now they get a huge damage nerf on top of that?
