Anyone else think RIOT has become greedier over the last couple of years?

Been here since season 1 and taking long breaks here and there. The only issue I have with this game is the seeming power creep that comes out with every new season.

Yes they have, i shouldnt have to spend 20$ on chest to only get champ shards and i mean all those chest got me a champ shards Great 100% useless bc i own the champ i want. buying champ with ip should be the only way to own them. the new players should earn the ip like everyone else. IF they want new players to get more champs, then just give them 4800 ip a month free and let them buy what champs they want untill they reach like lvl 15 or so.

spending more money on quest is 100% rip off as they quest do not last long enough, if u buy somethign then it should be there 100% of the time until i finished a quest.

They are so greedy that they dont even let u refund bough item or champs 3 times in a life time is way to little. we should have 100% control on what we buy or a way to put them away so we are not force to play crap champs when we play aram. like really i own 4 tank type champs and that is all i get. If your lvl 30 you should no need for the free to play champs in aram. you already need to own like 30+ champ to play it no need to add more into it

spending 5$ or more on a stupid icon or a vison is very greedy. why we cant pay this with ip.

they claim they give away so many free skins. but this is faults. i earn like 6 skins this season. how is this so many. there is only a select few that can S rank all there champs. even if u do S rank u need to redo it again when u have chest up. just make it so that once u s rank a champ u get teh chest no need to wait a week to play game again to get any type of rewards. So bs. Not sure how they plan to keep us free to play players to stay in game. with out us they will be no LoL bc we would all leave. if we all left then you will have like 1k members playing each other over and over again.

Not particularly. They've given us Hextech which is a LOT of free stuff.

While the average price of skins has probably increased ( I have no stats offhand, just my perception), the quality of skins has also massively increased.

So they certainly make more money, but if they're doing that by providing a better product I would say that is a good thing.

Yes in a sense, once tencent took over. A lot changed.

Though hextech stuff was a nice change too. Can't bash them to hard.

Greedier? No, given that allot of players already own a lot of the buyable content they need to come up with new ways to open wallets.

i dont think alot of players own all the buyable contents. there may be like under 1000 players out of millions who play this. I have no problem them opening up game to add more payable items but at lease make it so that free to players can buy them too. not hard to just make items a bit more price. for example ward can only be own buy payign into it. something like 640rp should be like 3000 ip and if they want to make money first just make it so you cant buy said prodect for the 1 month it was release. not so hard.

Problem with that for them is that many sit on allot of IP. I already own all runes and champs, and have 50000 ip. If I could buy skins with ip I would never spend and if others could as well then Riot would not profit, the game would lose support and die.

It's one of those trivial things, they need to earn if we want to play.

i am not saying to buy skins with ip but other items like wards, icon, and even chest.

I feel you. Sometimes they have player icons for ip, I think some skins for ip would be cool from time to time.

I mean they are Charging more for skins and other cosmetics but they are ALSO giving away LOTS of stuff for free.

HexTech crafting is fucking AMAZING and you can also get champions for WAY LESS if you are willing to opt into the champion shard system.

so Im actually on the opposite side of the fence. For me at least Riot is pretty fair and the only thing thats really bummed me out was the Rune Refund numbers.
